I was trying to figure out if there's a pattern with the biometrics notification. It looks like there is no pattern at all. A lot of people did get an update saying their biometrics were waived like 4-6 weeks after filing. But some people got it as late at 2.5 or even 10 months after filing. T_T I'm kinda nervous about it. I have not heard anything about biometrics yet and we filed a month ago now.

I got it about 12 days after USCIS ackowneldged receipt of my case.

Who has received the biometrics letter?

My wife's 10-year-old daughter filed as a dependent on her mother's application (NOA 8/21/2020) and received her biometrics letter from Potomac Service Center today with a 9/15 postmark.  The biometrics appointment was waived and they will reuse her previously collected information.  Haven't received a biometrics letter for her mother, though.  Hopefully tomorrow or the day after. When I check both cases online, they simply say "case received" with no update about biometrics. - Jason

Anyone knows if Nebreska center waives biometric appointments?  I'm planning on traveling out of the country for a few months.  It would suck to come back early if the appointment is in person.

No idea. I don't think there's a reliable pattern or timeline with receiving biometrics notifications. No updates for me and mine's California.

I did. I went in for biometrics last week. It was really quick, I was done in less than 15mins. Probs because there was no one there except for the 4 employees who were working at that time. They took a photo of me and my fingerprint.

Yeah, they're limiting the number of appointments cos of covid. It was just the security, the receptionist, their manager and the person doing the biometrics in there. My case was also assigned at MSC and we filed in July. If you had your AOS done here in the US, there's a possibility that they're going to use your previous biometrics. We did our paperwork overseas and came here as CR1. So, i already anticipated that i'd get called for biometrics.

Whoa congrats! That was fast! At least something was done reassuring your case isn't stuck somewhere on the pile of files in their offices. MSC seems to have no progress at all.
