Hi All, Starting a thread for Aug 2020 I-751 Filers. I sent my package in today, but I doubt USCIS will receive, accept and process my documentation before early next week.

Let the discussions/emotions/arguments/debates/consolations begin

See my signature for my timeline, and fire away...

This was my submission package

Hi there! Good luck!! I’m sending mine in tomorrow and was wondering if you left all fields that didn’t apply blank or if you filled them (where possible) with “NA”?

I have left them blank but I watched a stupid YouTube video that said not putting “NA” could result in a rejection.

This process is so frustrating! I’ll be glad when it’s all over!

let me know how it goes with you and I’ll update my timeline.

Thanks for starting this thread!

I entered some values as "N/A" and some values as "NONE", after researching extensively. With the unavailability of a documented process (aka guidance from the I-751 instructions), I chose to do my own bidding....mishmash of information available on VJ forums and some faith...

Used N/A  - Page 1: Part 1(2.a,2.b,2.c), Page 2: Part 1(15.a), Page  3: Part 5(1.a,1.b,1.c), Page 8: Part 9(1.a,1.b,1.c), Page 9: Part 10(1.a,1.b,1.c)

Used None - Page 1: Part1(9), Page 3: Part 4(5)

Hoping no RFE for this 🤞🏽

Thanks for this - I was kind of thinking the same thing.  Except, I am unable to use "N/A" on the form because I am filling it out on my computer and you can't use any characters other than letter, numbers or spaces.  Do you recommend that I use "NA" or "N A"?  Also, for page 1(9) and page 3(5) i can't type anything in because you can only fill those boxes with numbers if done online. Should I just put "NA" where possible and leave out the "NONE" on pages 1(9) and 3(5)?  Or, do you think I should hand write in all of the "N/A" and "NONE" entries? If I do, do you think they will have an issue with the form being partially typed and partially handwritten?

I am so paranoid and don't want to have any RFEs or issues with this.  With all of the delays and funding issues at the USCIS, I just want to get this done, and done right on the first try.

Looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance :)

Faced the same problem...my solution - start the form in Adobe Reader, save form as you consistently enter your info..switch to opening the pdf in your browser as your last step (right click and open with)..and voila you shall be able to use N/A and also fill in the NONE. In fact, I even updated my place of marriage on Page 1 with this format: City, State - USA (coz when you open the form in adobe it says secured and throws a prompt at you saying enter only Alphabets)

Hopefully the above method works for you.

Hi,

Just a quick question. I want your guys opinion. I am going to file in early september, however on the website, they say that they will be updating the form soon.

As a result, I have not yet filled the form. So do you think I should keep waiting until maybe one week before the scheduled sending date (First day of 90-day window) ? Or i should fill it in advance? (Because I am afraid that they gonna update soon and I would need to fill again)

Also, how can I find my local office of USCIS? I searched it on USCIS website, it says to be Long Island Office (NY), however, in the profil of the forum, it seems that this option doesn't exist. Not sure why

Thank you very much!

If, in the worse case scenario, they update the form on the day I am going to send (Or even when the file are en route), do I have to submit a new form, and they will return my package? Or it is fine since the date I signed the form there was no new form avaialble?

Also, I used the website to find my closest USCIS office. However, it is not in the list of Visa Journey website, I assume just they didn't put all field offices avaialble in the entire US right?

You should be fine. USCIS does not scrutinize/penalize if they release a form when your package was already submitted.

I haven't used VJ's list of offices, I would revert to the list available on the USCIS website, its the latest and is constantly updated by USCIS.

You should be fine. USCIS does not scrutinize/penalize if they release a form when your package was already submitted.

I haven't used VJ's list of offices, I would revert to the list available on the USCIS website, its the latest and is constantly updated by USCIS.

Okay thank you very much!

Hi Everyone,
I am a conditional permanent resident and I am about to submit my I-751 to remove conditions in August too. The Part 5 on the application says "Provide information on all of your children."

Should I include my son who is a US Citizen by Birth on Part-5 of the I-751 Application or not ?

Thank you.

I did and I included a copy of his birth certificate as evidence of a bona fide marriage.  It asks to list all your children and also asks whether the child resides with you (yes) and if the child is applying with you (no). I like to err on the side of the caution with these forms and so to be safe, I included him.
