Judy has been here since April 5 07, we were married June 9 . Her I-94 expires on 04 July, is it imperative that we file the AOS before the i-94 expires?

You need to marry in the 90 days, but can file outside the I-94 date, many do file late due to many different reasons like waiting for a document like marriage cert, or to file tax return, going to civil surgeon to get vaccinations done...

Actually I plan to file before 04 July but I just wanted Judy to calm down in case we were a day late. but whats with the fee increase? is it a penalty or are they just increasing the already overblown price?
