Hello,

Hope everyone is doing well. My spouse case was approved for expedited processing by U.S Embassy in Manila. Her case already in Consulate and the status in CEAC is READY. My wife and I received an email from embassy last week asking for us to provide some information (see attached attached photo). We responded immediately after we receive the email. I was wondering if anyone in here had the same situation. How long it did take to U.S. Embassy to schedule the interview or call the applicant? My wife just completed her medical examination and she has been cleared by the physician.

What was her reason for expedite? If you know

We had a good conversation, she mentioned how worried she is because the first week of August their (K1& K2) medical will expire. Shes expecting to get an answer like a week before it expires. And they called she asked if the consulate will going to make them get another Medical? the lady answered "it depends" who will handle and interview them. Her medical will expire August 2nd and their interview will be the 5th of August also but other than that she never mention anything.

I read that the CDC has approved a 30 day extension to the medical expiration period

@tino_04It seems others who have expedited cases in Manila have received the same standard email. I have seen this on VJ and other social media. Btw, what was the reason for your expedite may I ask? And congratulations on your expedite Yay!🎉

I see some people on FB crying like a baby, saying they have called the USEM and been told CDC has no authority of the medical and can't extend it.  This is people waiting on K1's and their medical is expiring.  Read it on the US Embassy in Manila Facebook site.  Have you heard that as well?

Can I please ask how you can request to expedite?

I just saw the post that they are prioritizing spouses. My daughter and I were planning to leave within the next two weeks but if we can expedite and stay together it would be a huge help. I know there are probably many with similar situations but I figure it’s worth a shot.

Thank You

You can get some good laugh if you go to the "Official" U.S. Embassy in Philippines Facebook page. Lots of lies and untruth published there by the author.

Many people think the author is a US Citizen or has some type of authority in the USEM, albeit it appears as if the author is just a non US Citizen posting a lot of nonsense, must get paid by the keystroke.  So they get alot of people crying and complaining on the page about K1's visa.
