Hello Everyone

There are some question on DS 260 , I need a help with . I am a petitioner and I married a women 2 year ago and had a child who is 19 year old now . so child is my step child. The biological father never met the child since child was 1 yr old and after he divorced .

since there is no line that says step father  option on DS 260 .what should I answer about the biological father or adopted parents details. I am a step father. please help...

2. Also, on DS 260  its asking , " Is your  mailing address is same as present address.  Is this address for  the beneficiary address in abroad where they ( my spouse and step child ) is living presently .  under "Present and previous address section, we listed the beneficiary's present address and her present address is also the mailing address.

3. what about  permanent address on DS 260. Is this my ( petitioner's) present address in USA where beneficiary intended to live in USA.

4. can I change my (petitioner ,who is a. US citizen) address once my spouse and step child get their visas from the consulate. I have a small rented place and I need bigger one  before they come. I don't want to change right now because I don't know know if they get visas or not. I just want to wait unless they get their visas .

5. can I give my ( petitioner's) email id in place of my spouse email id on DS 260. I gave my email  id for her on i130 with no problem. I want to convey any info if NVC send to the beneficiary  to avoid any inconvenience to her. since she lives in the area having limited internet access. OR is it mandatory to give my  beneficiary (my spouse)  email id on DS 260. please help

6. one more question on DS 260 where they asking " Do you have any previous spouses?  .  Does it mean my spouse divorced husband name.

Please help me with these questions . I cant afford expensive lawyers.....

So the DS260 is filled out by the intending immigrant. If you chose to complete it then fill it out how she would. Your first few questions are a bit confusing so I’m going to skip them. Remember it’s the beneficiary that complete the form-

Whenever you move you can change your address with USCIS so all the corresponding letters will go to the new address.

As long as she is okay with it you can provide your email. I used my (petitioner) email throughout the whole process because my husband barely had electricity nevermind internet connection.

Any previous spouses is just that- I am unsure if it asking for the petitioner or beneficiary previous spouse- once you figure that out write the previous spouse if one was married previously.
