Hello!

I've been checking the status of our petition almost daily (like everyone else probably!). The web site says; Current Status: Case received and pending. However when I called the phone information line, they say that a I797 has been sent to me. Are NOA1 and NOA2 BOTH done on a I797 or do I have a reason to freak out with happiness that things are finally moving along???

Thanks!

I would trust the website over the phone.

The I797 is the name for ANY paper the USCIS sends you - NOA1, RFE, NOA2, etc.
