Hi everybody, thanks in advance for the help. I'm unsure of what to expect next. I  submitted the 129F petition as petitioner  and got notice of receipt on a April 24 2020. I received a letter and email at the end of April, but have not heard anything else. My fiancee has not received anything in the mail yet in Brazil. I input our application info into the time line on this website and it says :

Estimates/Stats :
Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between October 24, 2020 and October 30, 2020* (RFEs at the California Service Center typically add an extra 30 days, which has been added to the estimated processing time).

I'm not sure what this means?

I was also unsure about which consulate, on the application we chose Recife, but Recife is not listed in the drop down menu, so I chose Brasilia:

Consulate : Brasilia, Brazil

We don't know what to expect for approval date, or for interview date in Brasil, any input would be appreciated!

It's just an estimate based off of Visajourney data of when you could potentially expect an approval.. That being NOA2. Hold it with a grain of salt. When I submitted my petition in December of last year, the estimate was in Early April. We didn't get approved until late June.

USCIS states current approval times are between 5 to 7 months.

That's an estimate of when your case will be approved, get an RFE, or be denied. It is based entirely on the timeline data from other VJ members. It will shift forward and/or backwards as more data is received.

At most there is only 1 embassy/consulate with an immigrant visa unit in each country. A K-1 is handled by the immigrant visa unit.

Looks like You incorrectly filled in the RFE box in your timeline....thus, the system has added an extra 30 days.........you should edit your timeline and remove that entry which I have marked below:

Thanks for the input everybody, I appreciate the input! I made the changes , removed RFE box and changed the consulate to Rio de Janerio.

Now it says September:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between September 24, 2020 and September 30, 2020*.

I still have a few questions.

How do I get an idea of my total timeline, I'm not seeing any estimates of interview, approval to enter the US, etc.?

When will my fiancee receive something in the mail? Nothing has come yet.

Average timelines: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?cfl=

The petitioner should have received a receipt notice upon successful filing of the I-129F.

Eventually they will - barring an issue - get an approval notice (aka NOA2).

Then the approved I-129F is sent to NVC to get a DOS case number.

Then the case will be sent to the consulate/embassy. From there the steps and order will vary, but will include completing a DS-160, paying the MRV fee, a medical exam, gathering documents, and getting an interview date.

How the embassy/consulate contacts the alien varies as well. Some will send an email. Some send something in the mail. Often the instructions are on their official website. There may or may not be a packet 3 to submit before getting an interview date. Some will just let you schedule it yourself.

There is a great tool here on VJ that you can use to follow others from Brazil. Select your flag in your profile and it will take you to a page whereupon toward the right side look for "Quick Links". Look down the list and select "Brazil Visa Timelines" and you will get a spreadsheet of all the Brazilians who are processing. You can change the parameter's to seek answers to your "When" questions. Good luck and stay engaged.
