Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?

This type of stuff would be better suited to the Site Discussion threads so Ewok can see them and possibly implement if he thinks it will add value. You guys might weant to start a new thread over there, or maybe one of the mods might see this and split it off into its own topic over there. I think its an important discussion and it would be great if it could get the attention it deserves!

Yeah, you are right. This was a logical place to start since the original question was directed to bszoom but I think it needs to be moved now.

I know it's early... :) but do we have any approvals yet? Where are the GOOD NEWS? :)

So far there are 6 approvals dated 9/10 for California / Texas. None for VSC. :( (The texas ones are from April and May so they would have been processed in CSC.)

Actually, I think it's realistic to hope that VSC will pick up the pace. There had been a significant wait for NOA1's, but my own wait was very short in terms of business days: VSC got my I-129F on 8/31 and issued my NOA1 on 9/4. That is even shorter than it sounds -- Labor Day weekend was 9/1-9/3, so in other words, my NOA1 is dated one business day after they received my I-129F. That's progress! Another member from the August filer thread had the same experience, too. And as the receipting backlog improves, hopefully the NOA1-NOA2 response time will improve. That's my take on it, anyway; I don't think we are looking at an imminent return to hearing about NOA2's coming 11 days after NOA1's, but I think the drought we saw lately is going to be temporary. Lord willing, things will then proceed in the proper direction, time-wise...

That is welcome evidence that the contract employees who handle the receipts are catching up. But when will the I-129F adjudicators come back? Obviously they have pulled adjudicators off the I-129F's and they are working on something else. Otherwise the rate of I-129F approvals per day / week / month would have remained consistent no matter how many petitions were submitted during the July surge.

Yes I realize that VJ does not represent all of the USCIS workload, but I do believe it is a representative sample of all the USCIS petitions in terms of processing time. If USCIS slows than VJ slows and vice versa.

In any case, what are they working on instead of I-129F's? When will they be finished? I want answers!

2. VCS will pick up the pace....visa gods or not.....reality is...we have a choice...we can be negative for the entire 112 day average wait time...OR we can choose to find the good and use it in a positive way....hmm..I for one don't want to spend 112 days miserable.....anyone else???

The NOA1 is generated by the outside contractors, not by the adjudicators so that is not an accurate indicator of the progress of NOA2 application.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

There has been nothing for ANY Vermontian to be smug about for several months now. I think its time for all the CSCers and VSCers to call a truce, hold hands and have one big love fest! :luv:

oh, you must know I was joking; I put in a winky n'evryfing ;)

it's just particularly fascinating to me; I was so pleased when I found that I could file directly at VSC, under the new rules, then so gutted (not to mention confusled) when it was sent on to CSC, and now I'm just bemused and trying to be Zen in my calm acceptance of whatever happens next :)

I'm all up for a love fest though; I'll bring the marshmallows ;)
