You're right, they might be having a good damn time during this weekend, while I'm waiting, stressed out, sick and freezing with this weather!!!!!

I agree completely they will never understand our frustration, instead of we all complaining on this forum how about if we can take our complain to immigration director in the form of a peace protest like GANDHI MARCH just unlike H-1 non immigrats few months ago swamped the director's office with flowers which got his attention, immediately he shifted all the work force to process their applications.

May be we all k-1 & K-3 applicants can set a particular day and send chacolates to his office with a message " WE LOVE OUR LOVED ONES AND WE LOVE YOU TOO, I HAVE BEEN WAITING for # of days" possibly with our EAC number on the package. We can negotiate with a online company with discounted price and ship all of them on the same day. These are not a flowers and they are not going to through them in the garbage instead every desk in their office will have box for couple of weeks and that reminds them of us, this way we can get some media attention too.

As we are citizens of this country and tax payers, we deserve better treatment than their current priority. I really wanted to see all VJers opinion on this.

They need something...seriously...these are supposed to be trained proffesionals...are you kidding me with one petition every other day...i understand that they have other pertitions that are not fiance or spouse petitions but cmon....they shojuld have certain departments working on cetain cases...seems likeits just 2 or 3 people looking through the whole country's petitions.

no disrespect intended, but we aren't the only ones that have applied for visas. It was 2+ months after I sent our application that I registered on this website ... which simply suggests; while there are less than 3700 couples listed on this site as waiting for approvals, there are probably at least ten times that amount out there that aren't on the website. I read recently that the government receives over 500,000 K-1 visa application requests per year. I can't confirm that, but cut that # in half and work the numbers, 2-3 approvals per week for members on this site is a good number.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with some of the comments made, but to keep myself sane and to understand the scope of what the centers are dealing with, i have to remind myself of this. Looking at all the numbers and time lines can be depressing - but my reality is: after dealing with DMVs (which are also known as RMVs - for those of you in the RMV areas) in 3 seperate states - all of which have random line lengths and time frames - I realize there are good and bad moments; it's the overall result that is important. As I tell my fiance (and he tells me) breathe deep and know that the end result is the only important part. Hopefully, we will all be blessed and moved through to the visa in hand (if no, look for me in Ghana ;) ).

I can't confirm that, but cut that # in half and work the numbers, 2-3 approvals per week for members on this site is a good number. ....so, 20 times 2-3 per week would be 40-60 for filers overall (not just VJers).....um....that doesn't sound so good to me, sorry.

Thats even more stressfull to think that im in front of my computer hoping to see something happen with my petition and they probably really are laughing and BBQing .... .....actually they have a right to their lives of course but it seems that they are very lazy about their work, or back to ...the system needs fixing!!

 Finally, someone besides me heard about this avalanche of greencard applications from current H1B holders. It was unprecedented in that the number of apps weren't limited as they have always been. So EVERY H1B holder waiting for a greencard swamped USCIS until the deadline. Then they whined and sent flowers and the deadline was extended to August 12. My guess is that could keep them busy and apparently they made these apps the priority. Can you tell?

Anyway, I love the chocolates idea! Flowers, shmowers they'll love it, and either way they'll get the message. Ok so who knows his address? I think his name is Gonzales?

As for the H1Bs i feel a lot of sympathy for them. Because a couple people at work are going through it, and they literally have waited YEARS to try to get their things in order, and their denial rate is very high! They have to pay $1,000 just to submit that application !
