Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?

Here is the latest Vermont Filers Summary Data

The report indicates that processing times continue to increase.

On a related topic, there are 86 Texas petitions with NOA1 dates in May, June or July that I think should be included in the Vermont statistics if we want an accurate picture. As an example, there have been 11 TSC approvals so far this month. Unless I am mistaken, those approvals came from the VSC. Shouldn't they be shown in the VSC statistics?

I am wondering if it might be a good idea if members with timelines that show Texas as their service center change it to show Vermont.

What are your thoughts?

As far as I am aware, any proper I-129F filing to the TSC prior to July 29th meant it was transferred to the CSC.

From July 30th to August 28th, any proper I-129F filing to TSC will be forwarded to VSC

After August 29th, any I-129F filing to TSC will be rejected.

Now, I suppose that would mean the TSC from July 30th - August 28th should be added to the VSC list.

So no petitions where forwarded to Vermont until July? Whoops! If that is the case, than the 11 Texas approvals came from California, not Vermont. :(

Despite my confusion, there were 34 petitions sent to Texas in July and that is still a significant number. As a comparison there are only 50 July petitions that show Vermont as the service center.

In any case, I still think that if members entered the adjudicating service center on their timelines it would make things more accurate. Maybe it will not have as much of an impact on the Vermont stats that I initially envisioned, but it will have an even greater impact on California's.

I know this will eventually work itself out without any changes, but I am a July filer with an August NOA1 and I'd like the stats for those periods to be as accurate as possible.

OK, now it is looking as if the impact on Vermont is minimal, but the impact on California is significant.

If an application is forwarded, does the NOA1 show the adjudicating center or the center to which it was mailed? If is the former, than shouldn't the member use the adjudicating center on their timelines? It might distort the NOA1 waiting time a little but will make the NOA2 statistics more accurate. Personally I think the NOA2 stats are the more important of the two.

The VisaJourney.com timeline data is based on the center that is filed for. I will look into seeing how I can change my list generation to reflect the TSC filers that got forwarded to VSC.

I only see about 3 people who received a NOA1 from TSC between 7/30/2007 and 8/28/2007.

Those are the only cases I can see that would be transferred to VSC.

The VisaJourney.com timeline data is based on the center that it is filed for. I will look into seeing how I can change my list generation to reflect the TSC filers that got forwarded to VSC.

Well, it might not be worth much of your time. I see that as of now, there were only 12 applications mailed to Texas after 7/21 and none after 7/29. So, if most of those arrived in Texas before 7/30 than there might be only a couple of Texas filers that should be included in the Vermont stats and that won't have much of an impact.

I also just saw that you have included Nebraska and Texas in your California NOA2 forum. I think that makes your information more accurate than VJ's!

Hopefully the Texas and Nebraska filers have found their way to your forum.

Keep up the good work!

Yay I'm still 24 on the list. Hoping to move up soon, though :P. Maybe there will be alot more approvals next week. I'm kind of torn, though, since next week is the start of a new semester of college classes, ugh. But that's a small sacrifice for a new week of NOA2s :P .

Good luck guys.

...I believe you filed direct to Vermont (as per instructions) only to have it sent to CSC!! Who knows what goes on with USCIS?? :D

that is correct

who knows, indeed... it's all a mystery

If an application is forwarded, does the NOA1 show the adjudicating center or the center to which it was mailed?...

In any case, I still think that if members entered the adjudicating service center on their timelines it would make things more accurate. Maybe it will not have as much of an impact on the Vermont stats that I initially envisioned, but it will have an even greater impact on California's.

our cheque had stamps from both VSC and CSC, but the hard copy NOA1 said only California (as does our info online at uscis.gov)

and as soon as I knew about the change I altered the service centre in my timeline here... I agree; it all helps keep things as accurate as possible :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
