What's the RFE trick?

Calling USCIS and pretending you have a question about an RFE you might not have ever received. lol

But it certainly depends on what time of day you call because if you call like around 5PM EST you'll get some generic call center customer service rep who knows no more than we do. But if you call around 11AM EST not only is your wait on hold a LOT shorter (read: 10 minutes vs. one hour) but you usually talk to someone who knows just the slightest bit more than we do.

I did find out that it was ok that my fiance and I got new jobs since filling out the G-325A and it shouldn't be a problem seeing as now our info is outdated. You can ask them all kinds of questions.

Divorced. To hell with him.

Thanks for that also!! I was wondering that too! My fiance has a new job now that is different from the one on G325a and I will have one in the next few weeks.

I also need to change my address in the next few weeks... Is that easy enough to do?

Your wait may be coming to an end. USCIS announced that all employment based immigrant visa petitions without a priority date will be rejected for the remainder of the year.

http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/Vi...letin2Jul07.pdf

The US Dept. of State has more details: http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_3263.html

The sudden backlog reduction efforts by Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices during the past month have resulted in the use of almost 60,000 Employment numbers. As a result of this unexpected action it has been necessary to make immediate adjustments to several previously announced cut-off dates. All Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices have been notified of the following:

Effective Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations in response to requests for Employment-based preference cases. All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available.

Employment preference numbers will once again be available to these chargeability areas beginning October 1, 2007, under the FY-2008 annual numerical limitation

So now, once the receipting backlog is resolved (scheduled for July 13th) there will be more freed up adjudicators, so hopefully they'll start pulling I-129F stacks again.

I don't mean to depress you guys but VSC's processing time dropped from 57 to 62 days, ahh. The I-130 jumped up by like 8 days, though, so at least we know they are doing SOMETHING. I hope they are wrong and we all get our NOA2's soon. Tomorrow I'm expecting to see a ton of April filer's get their NOA2's :D. I expect that everyday when I get on here, though.

You know, I almost wish I hadn't found this thread, but then again, I'm glad I did...

My fiance and I are getting ready to ship off our I-129F petition packet and stuff...(must get it in before July 30th and that insane price hike!)

And I was reading timelines earlier from people, and seeing what I thought were relatively quick turnarounds. Not necessarily Vermont people, but just...people from other countries that are getting things done kinda quickly.

Mine is from the UK, which is like America Lite or something, and I thought things would be pretty good.

Of course, that thread brought those hopes pretty much crashing down

I do hope all you who have been waiting forever and a day get yours soon...and that when I send mine out in the next day or so, that we don't wait as long as you did!
