I'm freaking out now! I never thought about writing RFE on the envelope!!!!! I'm calling Pat cause he was supposed to resend our RFE this morning but he's at work and his cell phone is out of signal!!!! I don't know if he already sent it or will send it during the morning!!!!!! I can't get in touch with him and I have to leave my house very soon!!!!! Damn!!!!!!

My SO took me cross country skiing this past weekend. I had never been and he's a really good skiier and teacher, so it was great. One thing he taught me, which I think works as a wonderful analogy to what's going on with a lot of us here and echoes what Amrssnoangel said:

Its a good idea to do so. It helps it get sorted into the right areas in the mailrooms for faster processing. My fear was that your original RFE information is in the mail room...if processing mail is behind, it could take time for them to get to your RFE. I'd suggest writing in LARGE RED LETTER: RFE on outside of envelope to make sure mailroom sorters know where it goes.

Good idea, but isn't there also a special envelope they send you with the RFE? I thought I read that somewhere.

Don't freak out Mirla!! What they were advising to do was just to be more helpful, not necessary. I think it's more important that this second time out you get tracking and a signature on it. The big red lettering is helpful, but if it's not there, I don't think you should cause yourself more stress by worrying about this too!

I dont think you HAVE to, but it will speed up the internal routing. They will know exactly where to send it, rather than have it sit with the new cases.

Mirla - I have never heard mention of a special envelope - just that if you mark the RFE in red that it helps it to get to where it needs to go more quickly.

Hi everyone! I tried to stay away from the internet today but i miss ya'll .

Well still nothing on my end, Mel called them yesterday and they were trying to feed him that you have to wait BS. This time he got mad and then the lady transfered him to a supervisor who told him that our case is still with the adjudicator. Mel asked him how long would it take that person to approve it and he said that we should receive something in the mail by friday or latest monday next week. One more week again????? Man, im so tired of all this BS im telling you. I have been patient enough im loosing my mind over this journey.

Mel is coming coming to see me on friday this week, i sware i will be calling the VSC all day until the can't hear my voice anymore. I think after all this wait i have the freaking right to get on their butts.

Mirla, don't worry about the RFE i didn't right anything on the envelope. I just wrote a cover letter and stated what's in the package. Stay calm, we will get there

I haven´t heard of such a thing either...it´s weird...it shouldn´t be a reason for the envelope to get lost...you´d think they open it and see what´s inside...
