Now 76. Bella & Todd. Sent July 20. NOA1 date August 14. Approved today.

Hey wait a minute. Bella? Waaaaaaaaah :crying:

Oh. They are from the Philippines. So it is probably not my Bella. :D

You beat me to to it!!!

But OMG, Bill they mailed their petition one day before me. You must try to help me to remain calm! I am starting to get excited! Hold me back, please!!!

*Rae acts like Bill in his absense*

Julezabelle, you must realize that at Vermont's current rate of .000362 approvals per day, you will see yours anywhere from 769 - 32,582 days from today. So while there *might* be cause for *some* people to celebrate, it might be wise for you to look at the facts instead and break up with your honey.

*only playing Bill, we all love yours stats, and I for one have appreciated your sense of reality and your sense of humor.*

:P

Rae, thanks for the laugh of the day!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

November has simply crushed this year's previous record month total of 48 (March). With 77 approvals and one more day to go, we could damn near double that old record. I know that there are some serious problems in organization but VSC has certainly turned a corner. If they find and approve all those overdue filers, I'd even say that they are running at full steam. Finally.

Congrats Kathryn!! Awesome news.

So I feel pretty good in this thread, and there have been a ton of approvals lately.

Well, I'm new to the "I'm approved" crowd so.

Can someone fill me in on how this process goes from here on?

Like, okay. Now it will go from VSC to NVC, right? Then NVC ships it to the consulate, in my case, London.

It seems to be taking...a couple weeks to go from VSC to NVC, right? That's cool.

When should Amy receive packet 3? When in the process does that show up? How do I know when NVC has gotten our case and/or forwarded it? Will the only way I know when Packet 3 has arrived is when Amy tells me? What is "Packet 4"? Is that another thing sent to her?

So many questions, I know I could probably read a guide, but ya'll know how this works too, so fill the newbie in plz :P

If yours takes a couple of weeks to go from VSC to NVC, then you're probably walking it down the street. Mine took 5 days (20-26 Nov) to go from VSC to NVC. Others getting NOA2 approvals these days seem to have about the same. In theory, VSC is waiting for a "batch" before sending, but with all this processing they're doing batches are growing quicker.

Our appl seemed to race through NVC (26-28 Nov) but this also seemed consistent with the increase in processing, based on others reports. Or maybe its a regional thing. I was able to call NVC (603-334-0700, press 1, press 5) to talk with a helpful employee. From here, I believe it becomes more Embassy dependent. You might want to check through the regional threads to see where your next friends are gathering.

VSC to NVC about 5 days. It is CSC to NVC that is taking upwards of 2 weeks. You can call NVC a couple of days after your approval (603-334-0700, 1, 5). Make sure you talk to someone because K1s are not entered into the automated system. They can tell you your new case number, when it got to NVC and when it is going to be sent to the embassy.

Depending on the embassy you may get the packet about a week after it leaves NVC. For some consulates, as soon as you have your new case number from NVC you can downlaod packet 3 from their website and send it in. You may want to check to see what others going through your embassy have done. In mast cases Packet 3 is a checklist of things you need to get ready for the interview including instructions on the medical, police clearance, etc. Packet 4 is just the interview letter. Some consulates send both together, some want the checklist back before you get the interview date.

Good luck Joz!!!!
