OHHHH CONGRATULATIONS!!!! TO BOTH YOU COUPLES!! You must be soo excited. My SO is having a hard time today with such slow work from VSC. He was soo hoping to have our noa2 by the end of august..now the timeline says October 1. He is frustrated. He wants to be here so badly. BUT...we are so thankful you are getting your noa2's. Every time someone else gets their noa2, VSC is one step closer to ours.

I didnt know about the date on the bottom of the timeline ..the one that gives you an estimated time as to when the case gets processed..I was getting all happy thinking that i was really close, but the date for me is Sept 5th.... ...my patience is wearing thin!!! VCS and the whole USCIS system really needs to get their act together...This is a government agency, who on top of everything raised their prices!!! I wrote yesterday to the chief of USCIS and explained how eventhough we know that tis is a long process, they should keep us better informed as to where we stand...The processing dates given on the USCIS website are updated by a computer on a monthly basis...I think they have no substance!! They are not even true estimates..Its just a computer doing an automatic change every month...I wrote how USCIS should do an update daily or at the very least weekly to tell us where we stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

take heart! September isn't that far away, really... only a couple of weekends more... you could make a little advent calendar type thing and it wouldn't even be finished by then

I wonder if we all wrote letters - specially after we arrive in the US and have settled there - if we could effect any change? I'd love to think that we could use this crappy experience to make the way a bit easier for those who'll follow us...

definitely; all our little voices can add up to something huge

I work in campaigning, so I've seen that in action... huge changes occurring because lots of 'little people' wouldn't shut up, and wouldn't take 'no' for an answer

a friend of mine back in Aus and I made a pact with each other to write a letter a week... to anyone; our government, foreign governments, companies, whatever, protesting against anything we see as unjust (political imprisonment, use of sweatshops, bad environmental laws...) We don't always stick to the 'one a week' policy, but we do our best, and it seems such a small amount to do when we live in freedom and plenty, when compared to so much of the rest of the world

sooo lets make noise...I was just telling my SO we should write our senators, the white house and the director of VSC....all i want is information. No excuses..jsut information. What is the hold up.....why did it slow down....why 3 approvals in only 10 days?? What is the plan to get it back into action, what is the timetable to get up to date? How does the backlog affect me..why aren't more people working more hours to make it work faster??

What if we started a petition for all to sign here on VJ and had it sent to very senator, vice president, president...they want to know how to control illegal immigration....lets start with making the process a bit easier to bear...then maybe people wouldn't be soo desperate to just come illegally?? At least not soo many. They need reminded of the families torn apart across the miles...babies that haven't yet met their daddies...and wives who are expecting and going through this process alone..what are we to just stop living because the government is "backlogged"? I hear and read many complaints..ok...complain..but THAT won't make a change....where do we start? Who is willing to step to the plate and create a petition...wirte their newspapers, their tv stations and say ..hey...we have a story to tell... I'll bet the couple that made news recently where they got married on k1 then she got banned for 10 years...were reunited sooo quickly because they made noise and used the media....how about it....anyone on board??? They can't deny us all for wanting information...
