Yes, I did!! I wanted this before my trip to Russia next month. Boy, I never expected it in November. I've actually been very patient and positive. Never really stressed too much. At least on the outside. It's gonna be the best christmas of my life!! Thanks.

VSC received our file July30. Makes me think July petitions have been assigned to officers.

Maybe we just got lucky or our file is less complicated ( first marriage for both of us).

Good news for me and the rest of the late July filers but I also agree with Zeenusah. What about all the people who are still waiting from May and June?

I just realized. Maybe this could be the reason we got approved ahead of you:

My fiance is an army reservist who just got back last October from his one and a half year tour in Iraq.

I want to make sure there is no confusion. I am not complaining that you got approved ahead of me. I am just amazed that someone that had their petition received a few days after me has been approved already. That means that it is possible that I am approved soon also. And that is a shock to me because I have been thinking maybe by Christmas if we got lucky and probably in January sometime.

I also feel sorry for those people who filed in May and June who are still waiting. It must be difficult to see so many July filers get approved this week while they are still waiting.

I am sure that everyone is happy for you and all the other July filers who have been approved. It would just be a little better if VSC would adjudicate petitions in a more logical sequence. I think it would be easier on all of us.

I will, I will. I was kind of hoping that I could wait for my tax papers for 2007. I'll have them in January and I would have preferred to send them as my "last year's" tax history. I wonder if this will still be possible. I mean if it takes more than 2 months to have our interview, then perhaps I can still use them. Oh well, I'll take the interview as soon as possible. Just want her home with me.

They must have burned right thru my petition. It was touched for the first time today (well i dont count the first one that we all get) then a few hours later it was approved. Is that normal? Usually I see people getting touched one day, then the next, then the next day an approval. Maybe its all in my head. I was hoping to hear something by Saturday, but this is even better.

Drew, I think you're on to something here. Its very possible we were right next to each other in the crate. And I don't think I'd sleep at all if I were you. Hell, i'm not going to for sure! I also think you will be doing the same dance very very soon.
