Oh!!!! I forgot to add this! So I called yesterday afternoon and this girl with a terrible attitude (sounded like a young girl, I remember talking to her a while ago) told me she cannot give any status on my case and to call customer service!!!! Excuse me! I had a RFE!!!! #######! I wanted to kill her!!! If that was the case then none of the rest officer would've helped us.

that's funny, they need a slap em smiley on here! Anyway, if I were you I would have your lawyer contact them. I think they get more info. Also get his senator or congressperson to check into it like Oslora did when they found her file. Your rep has more power to get something done than you.

Don't wait, it was a silly mistake and they should be finished with your file by now.

PS most people with rfe's said they tell them response by vsc is within 60 days after

I know but I'm not looking for a response!!!! The status on the website is still the same, we sent you a rFE on nov. 1. They don't even know if the RFE is sitting on the mailroom or lost somewhere and I cannot track it on USPS cause my BELOVED fiance lost the stupid receipt!!!!!!

Why are they paying customer service people? Why even have them? Use that budget money to hire more adjucators and we wouldn't need to call every friggin day asking where are case is!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

For example, I called VSC using the RFE trick yesterday and last week. Firs person I spoke with told me to wait a couple weeks. Then someone said they haven't received anything...even though it was sent from NY on nov. 9. Then another person told me that it is either on the mail room or not there. Yesterday and old man that I remember having spoke with him a while ago told me that it wouldn't hurt to resend it....Pat called yesterday and they told him to wait 60 days and that there are thousands of people behind me...as far as I know I'm one of the oldest ones and we cannot wait 60 days cause our deadline is on the 16. and they don't even know if it's there or not.

What do you guys think!?!?!? Confusing!!!!

Mirla, I think you should resend the copies of your RFE. I'm sure they want originals, but it can't hurt, can it? And this time overnight it with signature required and tracking and all that.

Then, I would put together a list of responses you can use. It seems the only thing customer service people are trained to do well is have the proper retort to get you off the phone. Try having the proper retort back for them. If they tell you / Pat to wait the 60 days, respond with, "We have a deadline of December 16th, we cannot wait 60 days". That sort of thing. Try going through what they have said to you and what you can say back, and try to have it in writing so that when the call is made, it's harder for them to give you the run around and just get you off the phone.

I got Officer Nancy...who seemed nice but seemed to have a different story. When I called the other day, she said the adjudicator had gotten my case...would be ordering name checks which take a few days and I'll hear shortly after that. THen I get these touches.

NOW today she said he's had it since NOVEMBER 21. That the touch today was simply an update to some data in the system, and that I should call back in 30 days. Many there are on vacation and that some work slower than others (BY AN ENTIRE MONTH??? WHERES MANAGEMENT???) . That it could still be 30 more days.....Ok Im officially broken. No more positive, no more anything. I dont get it....how can it go from a few days, anytime to up to 30 more days????? And now she says the NAME CHECKS are the LAST THING before they issue an approval.....Thats not how it sounded the other day...Im sooo confused.

Please don't let customer service screw with your emotions. Calling them only makes this worse. For all you know she just had a bug up her ### today. Hang in there. Don't plug into anything they say. The guy yesterday told me they are only on May applications. They don't know what they are talking about and it will only make you feel worse.

You are going to get yours so soon!

Im wondering if she got monitored giving out information she wasn't supposed to....Casue I got what many here consider "the scripted" 30 days call back thing...but thats NOT what she said the other day....I know that if I dont have noa2 by my 6 month time...Im taking action..of some sort..

My advice to everyone is to ignore Officer Nancy and all the rest of them. They are incorrect at least 50% of the time. Why even bother talking to them? If you have a real problem or have gone over the 6 month processing commitment I would recommend going directly to your elected representative and/or the ombudsman.

And I agree with virgillionaire, get your lawyer to hound them too. I know she sounds like a pain and is not that helpful, but what the hell did you guys pay her for, right?! Tell her it's her job to get this sorted out, to do something other than just wait. Call your lawyer every day and ask what she has done, hound her to hound them.

Its just so aggravating to think that everyone depends so much on these idiots in customer service and it really seems like they really cant give any real info that its the same thing we see on the screen and nothing more!!!!!

my fiance has her interview in 8 hours. im waiting up all night to see what happens. im very nervous. after 180 days it comes down to this. if all goes well ill be at newark airport one week from now. i know im not garaunteed she will get a visa.

Sounds exactly like my situation! I posted 8 hours before Jon's interview, and his flight was scheduled for about a week later, not knowing if he would have the visa or not. He arrived on Monday. Good luck, I know how nerve wracking it is waiting for that phone call!
