oh lord lets freakin move it VSC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and mirla, speak you mind sister...'free your mind, and the rest will follow' ;)

Hahaha! Suave??? Is that albanian? I guess it's the same in spanish....There some words in common I think...Do you speak albanian? It is kinda hard to write but for people who speak spanish it is not very hard to pronunce.Pronunciations are similar and they pronounce the "R" too...hehehe...Is your fiance from Albania or another city? My friend speaks albanian perfect, actually I think she was born in Kosovo and then moved to the states. I think her now husband is from Kosovo too. She taught me a few words but I don't remember anything! Hahahaha!

Tung!

haha, no suave is not albanian, but it was fitting for the description i was looking for...thats a word in english too though, we just dont say 'suav-e'...we just say it like 'suav' i guess lol...i actually dont speak albanian, but we both speak italian so its all good...my fiance is from tirana, the capital of albania but i have a few friends here in ny who are from kosovo as well...im trying very hard to learn albanian, and even though i speak italian, sometimes the pronunciation is a bit hard for me...i think italian is easier...you speak english so well, did you learn when you were very young? i hope adriano can speak english as well as you when he comes here...hes a smart boy and i have faith :)

LORA!!! No way...I jsut got home from two days in hospital TO!!! Palpatations, muscles twitching that is inducing panic attacks. Dizzy, nausteated, almost passing out...its that strong. I KNOW what you mean. I cant say this is caused JUST by this process..but this added stress sure doesn't help with all my other responsibilities. Girl...we are both in Virginia...we should meet and get a plan. PM me....WE need a day/weekend off at Virginia Beach...with our laptops, Valium and sleep.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL APPROVED....

Better to just wait and see if you get an RFE. If you send it now, chances of it getting to your file are slim to none.

Mr Paul Novak

Director

Vermont Service Center

USCIS

Dear Mr Novak,

As a customer of your service center I have become aware of some issues that relate to the processing of applications of K-1 Visa's at the Vermont Service Center so I direct my inquiry to you as it's director. As I understand your policies as stated in the USCIS website your service center is processing applications in the order they are recieved within a reasonable time frame. The understanding being that as much as days or 2 weeks may be out of order. With this assurrance by your service center that the system is fair to all you ask us as petitioners to wait our turn patiently. With the recent increase in applications and the apparent change in priorities that work visas are taking over family visas* the issuance of K1 visas have come at a slower and slower rate of adjudication. It appears that knowing this increase in applications for June, July, August and September should of produced a sense of urgency within the Vermont Service Center to work on the hiring of new personel, training and streamlining of procedures over these summer months but instead the work appeared to come to a slow crawl until recently. I am a member of an internet K1 visa website that tracks such issues and it is very clear to us that something is terribly wrong. Recently people who were not military or cuban expedites were processed in 30 to 45 days, clearly out of order, which is a breech of your policy and our trust that we are being treated fairly. The ombudsman has been contacted and we have recieved emails stating that these were processed out of order for training purposes.

Interesting answer but for those of us now waiting almost 6 months for adjudication not good enough. As your customer and a U.S. citizen I am profoundly interested in understanding how the USCIS and your service center is working to clear your backlog and fix the inaccurracies and injustices of this process and bring your customers confidences that you state is your main goal for this agency to a fair acceptable level.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter

Ok Im starting to get very upset, worried, frustrated here. Many others after us have now been approved into mid JULY..a MONTH after our noa1!!!!!!!!!!! Many mid Junes are still unapproved..whats up with THAT? Are they just doing the "easy" ones? Or is just a FEW adjudicators working hard? Or are they just looking for ways to stay in service levels...?? Never mind that some of us have to wait even from MAY. What gives? How hard is it to work a case...and send out an noa2, rfe or give SOME sort of information?? Im getting soooooooooo frustrated with this entire process.

...it seems to me that the same thing is happening at VSC as is happening at CSC: the approvals spread out over a six to eight week period (of NOA1 dates, I mean)... so at the moment the approvals are coming a bit from second half of May, any time in June, and first half of July, and if you're pretty much anywhere in that period you could get lucky :)

so I agree with Bill, that they won't ALL be approved in that time period unless things speed up markedly, but I also think thejoz has reason to be cautiously optimistic ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

 Lora - Great letter! You have just the knack for words I tell ya! VSC needs to get moving and filing a formal complaint I think will help everyone.

My Fiance has a theory about all the movement lately that I thought I'd throw out and see what you guys think... He thinks that anyone applying before the fee hike they are going to be processed in some manner (we hope for all an NOA2) before the first of the year. Making January 1st the start of all the new fee applicants, sort of a clean slate you would say. Thoughts?:no:

Hoping all of you hear good news soon!

Me too! My family and friends keep asking what's going on, and I just have to tell them that I either don't know, or on my angrier days I tell them that my officer must be a lazy sod. I know they're busy, but ....

We'll see. *crosses fingers*

I'd hoped I'd have some information for large family gathering tomorrow, but.. not going to get my hopes up on that one. <_<
