Thanks babybluesusie!!!! I hope the same for you :D

A good friend of mine from CT got married in Albania last year! Her husband is albanian too! The K1 process was really fast for them!! Come on VSC!!!

yea those albanian boys, they're so suave

i hope this process speeds up for all of us once we get to the embassy stage!!!!!!!

im coming up on 5 months reallllll fast...i was originally hoping to have my interview date by now, nevermind an NOA2!!!!!!!!!

oh lord lets freakin move it VSC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and mirla, speak you mind sister...'free your mind, and the rest will follow' ;)

Hahaha! Suave??? Is that albanian? I guess it's the same in spanish....There some words in common I think...Do you speak albanian? It is kinda hard to write but for people who speak spanish it is not very hard to pronunce.Pronunciations are similar and they pronounce the "R" too...hehehe...Is your fiance from Albania or another city? My friend speaks albanian perfect, actually I think she was born in Kosovo and then moved to the states. I think her now husband is from Kosovo too. She taught me a few words but I don't remember anything! Hahahaha!

Tung!

Hey everyone - I finally got the RFE!!!! And its simple - just need the complete final divorce decree....I can get it tomorrow as I am going to send them a certified copy just in case....I hope that everyone still waiting will hear some news soon!! ~Melinda

Awesome!!!! Send it as fast as you can!!!! I still haven't got any notifications or updates on the website!!!!!! :crying:

Thanks!! I am sending it tomorrow...certified copy to be sure.....hope u hear some news soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill why are you sure that Byron's interview will be in January..???

Well, Byrun and I also hang out at The Colombia Club forum. The level of expertise and helpfulness in that forum is incredible. Thanks to that forum Byrun will know exactly what he must do from this point forward, even where to stand in line when he gets to the embassy.

As soon as Bogota receives the package from NVC (and Byron will know when that is), Byron is going to fax the necessary documents to the embassy and request an interview appointment. As long as they receive the fax prior to the middle of December they will schedule the interview for January. The only thing that will force him into February is if NVC holds up the package for some reason, and they seldom do that.

We finally have an approval issued today! Milaine & Syl (Miduvil). Petition sent on Jun 22, NOA1 on Jun 27. Congratulations! :)

Bill y Bella: you knew it before me

Sorry about that. The next time you apply for a K1 make sure you make your announcements before you update your timeline. ;) That way us obsessive people without a life who are constantly checking the timelines for approvals can't ruin your surprise.

But in any case.... CONGRATULATIONS!

It's ok Bill y Bella, i will tell it to Syl, who updated the timeline before telling me it.

BUT i will tell him, that i will the last (no another K1 visa for one another woman- i will be his first wife and the last  )

Yep.

July 11th NOA1 ----- Nov 20 NOA2

No touches or nothing. Just an email in my mailbox that arrived at 5:30pm Eastern time. Maybe its the chocolates I sent, but I'm not sure they arrived there yet. I had to logon to the USCIS website to make sure that I wasn't imagining things and lo and behold it was noted there, too. It made for a VERY nice chat by phone and YIM with honey ko tonight.

Thanks for the congratulations and the same to others who posted today. I haven't had time to read through the thread yet.

My prayers are with those who are still waiting. I'm hoping you all get yours soon. I'll be back later.

Given that VSC seems to jump ahead sometimes, it is possible.

One thing to keep in mind however, is that USCIS is only about 40% finished with June and there are a LOT of July petitions in the pipeline. As long as VSC does not slow way down again I am sure that plenty of July filers will receive approvals between now and Christmas. However, unless VSC speeds up A LOT, they will also still be processing July petitions well into January.

I am a late July filer and given the current pace I have my fingers crossed that I will receive my NOA2 before the end of January. With that said, I will admit that I take an occasional peak at my USCIS online status just in case. Heck, if they can approve 5 September petitions in October anything is possible.

Well, I mean, everything I have been told says that the current average is still 5.2 months.

December is our 5 month mark, and the more late June and July petitions I see approved, the more I think we'll see ours in December.

Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but yeah. I can totally see us getting approved by this time next month if not sooner (?).

I'm sure you'll find a way to crush my optimism though :P

Nah, I am not in the mood for crushing. Maybe just a small reality check OK? :)

So far this month VSC has issued 46 approvals. That is 6 more then the next most productive month this year (March). Maybe if they really hustle that total will be up to 66 by the end of November. The average per month through October was only 23 but who knows, it could happen.

However, given how many July filers are in the pipeline(92), as well as those left from May(13) and June(34), there is no way we can all be approved by Christmas even at a 66 approvals per month pace.

It is realistic for all July filers to hope for an approval before Christmas. It is not realistic to assume that we will all be approved by Christmas unless VSC increases the pace of approvals dramatically. Let's hope they do exactly that!
