If anyone is keeping a total be careful not to double count these. Both were "announced" previously. For the month we have 14 approvals so far. In October we had 19 for the entire month so we are showing some improvement.

IF these were 'ANNOUNCED" earlier...I apologize...I personally am just seeing them and offering congratulations.

No reason to apologize. I just wanted to make sure people were not getting the impression that these were new approvals and conclude that VSC was churning out the approvals. As to the update date, sometimes that is misleading because the timeline will be updated multiple times for various reasons. Jane & Don (Pineapple) for instance first entered their NOA2 on their timeline on Nov 5.

Jo and Anthony (Jolouise) on the other hand is a new one I think.

Im confused how the June number for VSC is 5. Im counting 12 approved of June filers????? Am I misinterpreting this chart? Im getting 51 May filers have been approved thus far...4 July filers approved, 0 August, 3 September, 3 October.

I think you are using the NOA1 date. I am using the sent date as indicated.

I have no ill feelings for the September filer that got approved...but c'mon man....thats really f'd up for May, June, July and August filers dying to be with their SO's.....Must be one of the adjudicators being trained!!! I know they have to be trained for RFE's ...can someone please grab the pile of RFE's and teach them how to adjudicate them....

Yes, after the petition was approved things moved very quicky, NVC, everything. Rather unexpected but I am not complaining. That is my hope for you all, for things to move quick after the petition is approved! And thats why I have hope for Byrons holidays!

Okay everyone, I have finished writing things up.

I took all the contact info listed for each Senator, and have compiled it. Yes, I realize this information is/was available on the Senate website, however I took the extra time to annotate each entry to help you in your emailing. IE: I have pointed out several Presidential candidates who should be contacted ASAP with this concern, the fact that several Senators offer no guarantee of a reply if you do not live in their state, and at least two of them who don't even off you a choice to change your state because they only want replies from within the state.

I also included the contact for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, a highly active figure in the political arena today.

All of the online forms require relatively brief replies, so please make sure you compose something straight and to the point:

*That USCIS/DHS have been essentially useless when it comes to helping us

*That processing times are out of control

*That official DHS replies on the subject do not provide reasonable explanations why petitions are being approved out of order

I am personally opposed to making this an issue of work visas versus family visas, because I think the fact that we have proof they are not approving in a completely linear fashion is outrageous enough, and it doesn't seem like it would be any form of political wedge issue. It could be brought up, I suppose, but I don't think that I'll mention it.

Something interesting I did notice that I don't know if anyone else thought about or noticed.

A lot of these sites make mention of the fact that sending normal postal correspondence to the Senate buildings is currently still in a state of awry due to terrorism concerns. Thus, many Senators say it is much more desirable to use email/contact forms to contact them. This is a development I hadn't thought of, so that might explain why at least two of my letters have not been answered yet. Hm.

In any case.

I understand this will be a time-consuming endeavor, but is it really that bad to take a couple of hours or so out of your life if it might in fact make shorten your waiting time by weeks or months?

A serious, and I mean serious email campaign such as this is bound to get notice. If only 2 or 3 of us do it...it may not get the attention it needs!

At the very least, send emails out to those I have highlighted (with the exception of the two that don't allow you to change your state!) and let them know "Hey this is a big problem, you should help fix it".
