VSC tends to send petitions to NVC within a week. CSC is much longer, like 4 - 6 weeks, I think, is the average right now. The petition should only be at NVC for a few days, unless they determine the need for additional background checks. This does happen, but not a whole lot. Hopefuly once approved at VSC the petition should get to the embassy within 2 to 4 weeks. In some cases, its even less!!!

I know its not what you were hoping for...but look at it this way..Its an APPROVAL pending receipt of the missing information. God willing they will OFFICIALLY state it as soon as u return what they ask for. My prayers are with you for strength, patience and a light heart. Hang in there girl....

I JUST WENT TO MY REPRESENTATIVES OFFICE TO DROP OFF THE PRIVACY STATEMENT SO THEY CAN DO A INQUIRY INTO MY CASE. THEY CALLED RIGHT AFTER I LEFT. IM APPROVED. THEY JUST GOT DONE APPROVING ME WHEN MY REPS OFFICE CALLED THEM. I WAS DRIVING AND HAD TO PULL OVER. I STARTED CRYING .NO EMAIL YET AND THE WEBSITE STILL SAYS PENDING.

1st, I want to humbly apologize to everyone who read my post and thought that I was only wishing July Posters well. THIS IS NOT the case. I simply copied and pasted my post from the July Filer's Thread to this one. I simply forgot to edit it. I am sincerely hoping and praying for each and everyone to get their approvals soon. I am also hoping that the "backlog" will clear soon, and VSC will get back to processing Visas as fast as they once were.

2nd, Thank You to everyone who has helped and supported us thus far. It is comforting to know that there are others going through the same trials as Belen and I. I also want to say thank you for all of the congratulations. It feels really good to get each and every one of them.

Lastly, for those of you who thanked me for serving my country. It is truly appreciated, and I am humbled by your support. I mean this from my heart of hearts. The reason I lace ‘em up and do what I do is because of the support that I have from people like you and the guy standing next to me. I keep in mind that it is your brother, sister, son or daughter who is standing next me. I will not fail them and I will not fail you. Trust me on that! How much are you asking for? I don't mind helping out if it's not too exorbitant.

Ok, the total for all of us to send one press release about the chocolate drop to VSC is $299. But so far we have 7 people, if you're in, so divide 299/7= 42.7 dollars approx.

Hopefully more people will want to help and it will bring the total down. Let me know if that's ok for you please and I'll put you on the list.

I'll wait a few more days to see if more people will contribute to the cause ...

I hope it isn't something simple that they should have caught much sooner like Byron's and not make people wait 6 months and then say, dah, we need a signature here. ######, they should not only find simple ###### like that when they first receive and log it, but also go further and just arrange to fax it to people to sign and return to keep it moving.
