Coutney, forgive me if i'm wrong.... But when you come to the UK as a visitor, I thought that the maximum time for each stay was 3 months no matter where you fly into (Whether it be Ireland or London). This is of course if you come in on the visa waiver program. If you have an actual visitors visa, you can stay for up to 6 months.

Have I got that wrong?

Every time I've flown into Manchester I've gotten an entry stamp good for 6 months, which I believe is the norm.

I really don't understand how this system (USCIS) works... It's super frustrating. It appears some approvals were done within 3 months, some within 6 months but some within 1 month... I don't get it! I've decided not to call anymore because their answer is "it is still within the "6 months". I really want to see what course of action they will take if it gets passed the 6 months (not that I want mine to go past the 6 months). I can only hope for the best for every one of us. Anyway, at this point I feel as if nothing I say or do will get them to speed up the process... so I continue to wait...

To top it off they tell you not to call until it is a month past the 6-month processing goal (which by the way, they can lengthen at any time). Don't delay, write your elected officials today...

And where did you get that information??????

If that were the case only P. Novak would have been working at VSC and we would all still be waiting. Do you really think there is only one person who works at VSC?

And how do you know the new officer was hired in September?

If that were the case many more September filers would have been approved by now.

There are many many many people who work at VSC.

Do not go around making statements like that. Too many people here are already stressed about the whole process without throwing in bogus, erroneous information.

You definately need to get a hold of the USCIS Ombudsman. I have read that he is very concerned about fairness and if they make you wait 6 months all over again, that would be very unfair. Good luck!

Let's see if we get more 30 day or so filers first before we leap to this conclusion. They are screwed up there though, that is for sure.

If it was meant to be sarcastic I don't see the sarcasm in the comment.
