Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?

Well, I want my case to be a mistake

We received our electronic notice of NOA1 on September 27th, the same day our cheque was cashed, and received the hard copy of it on October 1st.

According to everything I've seen of a NOA2, this is it. I'm not really sure why USCIS would send us two electronic notifications 28 days apart for the same thing, so I sincerely doubt it's a repeat of our NOA1, especially since an NOA1 is the receipt, and the NOA2 is your approval - you can clearly see that the e-mail was for an approval of the I-129F petition.

To all the people who are hurt and/or angry by this, I'm sorry, and I hope the process moves much faster for you.

All I can personally say is that I never expected it to happen so fast.

edit: In response to previous posts, we did not get or ask for any expediate process, nor are there any extenuating circumstances to our case.

His latest post is above. He says it is the real deal and there was no expedite or extenuating circumstances.

Maybe you get one if you are able to get registered on the USCIS website before the NOA1 is issued? I can't remember if I got registered before my NOA1 notice date or not but I know I never received an NOA1 email.

You have every right to be pissed. Keep calling. Call all day long if you have to. You can call in addition to Pat. (Skype does 1-800-numbers).

Keep calling. Appeal to them nicely that you're application is over 5 months. If they give you 7-month bullshit, just blow your top. As soon as 6 months comes, you have to let every congressman, news outlet, USCIS officer know every minute of the day that they better do something with your case soon.

Congratulations to susurro2u2 (Charito & Dennis) for their VSC K1 approval dated 10/21. Their petition was sent on 5/15 and their NOA1 was 5/17. They were notified via email.

Good for them! Congratulations! I'm just tired of keep saying congratulations....really....we all have limits....

It was a mistake then. Someone mistakingly placed that file in the wrong box. Or maybe adjudicators do it for kicks.... knowing how it would drive others crazy!

Hey Courtney - I saw your post about visiting the UK. Not sure if you will be permitted to enter, but it sounds like you have a lot of proof tying you to the US. Just be confident and polite. I hope it goes well!!

I'm visiting in Jan with my 8 y/o daughter and am already freaking out if they will admit us. Never had probs before, but adding a kid to the mix makes me nervous. Good news is I have 2 other kids, a full time job, mortgage, etc. to come back to, so I think it will be OK.

Fingers crossed for both of us!!!

Ahh, my sordid past... Back in Feb '08 I was denied entry to the UK. I didn't have a return ticket to the US, and i couldn't prove strong ties to the US (so i got to hang out in a detainment room for 8 hours. good times). So i'm going back to the UK this friday, just for a short vacation, and have lots of proof that I will be coming back to the US... but still, i'm terrified. I know the worst that can happen is that i'm sent back to the US, but that truly will be awful.

Good luck to you as well! Throwing a child in there really does make things all that much more stressful. I hope you have no troubles at all, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too:) I'm not sure if i'll get in either... But, he has a friend in immigration who says that each visit is evaluated on its' own merit. Just because the circumstances 7 months ago had my entry refused, doesn't mean it will happen this time too. I've been running around tonight looking for more "evidence" that i'm coming back to this place after a weeks vacation! I'm WIRED! I may never sleep again!

I think that the new officer who signed for their petition started working at VSC in September and he is working only on the packages he signed for...so then every package he signed for will skip all the earlier petitions that were signed for by Mr.Novak...
