Ok, I originally called using the RFE trick... then the lady asked, "when did you send application", i said "back in may" she said, "Oh, before July?", I said, "yes" she said, "you should call back the 800# press 1 for english, then 2,2,6,2 then instead of putting your case # press 4.. this will send you to request a referal for your status they will then send Vermont an email." Well I did as she said, I plugged in the #s got a live person (after being on hold) I told her I was concerned because I had not heard anything and wanted to check on the status of my petition. She said, "hold on I will transfer you to an officer" I waited, the officer asked for my case #, confirmed address and told be i should receive something shortly since i was approved 10/15"

I just called USCIS first she told me since I filed befor July I need a referal, call the same number and enter #4 instead EAC #, I did that and the lady told me since I am within the time frame of 6 months I should here some thing by December. Same old #######

I am so sorry to hear that? Did you use the rfe trick... or did you press 4 instead of entering your case #? So sorry Byron... It is coming soon, I am sure.

I called Oct 15th and got the same BS..6months... AND guess what my approval date is... OCT 15!!!

MY LAWYER SENT MINE 156 DAYS AGO. HE SAT ON IT FOR 2 WEEKS. HE WAS VERY BUSY TO GET CASES FILED BEFORE THE RATE INCREASE. I CALLED AGAIN AND GOT THE SAME STORY. FOR ALL I KNOW MY CASE WAS LOST. I HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING.

That's right! Dont give up. Sometimes it depends on who you get on the phone.

absolutely, if you call and get a difficult person; just hang up and call again; maybe there are a couple people working the phones and you will get a more helpful person next call; don't give up folks

Now i have to depend on my F'n horrible lawyer ...God this is getting more and more stressfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say that is good and bad news. Good because you know the file is with an adjudicator and will get worked on as soon as the RFE is answered; bad because it is just one more step
