We can thank the really nice lady who told me to call back and plug in those #'s. She was very surprised I had not heard anything... and her question and tone "oh, so you filed before July???" that was strange she seemed concerned and thats when she said call back.

APPROVED!!!!! The young lady who place me on hold came back to tell me she would transfer me to an officer. I spoke to the officer who ASKED for my case # and put me on hold again. She came back to verify my address and tell me I should be receiving something in the mail... I was approved on Oct. 15th. I told her I rec'd no email she said they were really busy. That must have been the reason for the touch on Oct. 16!!!

MIRLA YOU MUST CALL AND IT SEEMS THE INSTRUCTIONS I REC'D ABOUT CALLING FOR A REFERRAL WORKED BETTER THEN THE RFE... I GOT AN OFFICER ON THE LINE.

I know!!!!!!! We talked before all this action happened here and we could hardly talk, he was working at the firehouse cooking lunch for all the rest starving firefighters....hahaha!!!! I called again but he didn't answer so I just texted him giving him these new prompts in case the RFE don't work!!!! Hopefully he will check his TM and he doesn't have any fires after lunch otherwise that will be another hour of waiting!!!!!

Wait a couple of days and then call NVC to see if they have your petition: (603) 334-0700, 1 5. They will ask for info on the petitioner and benefiary and your case number. They can tell you when they received the petiton and when it will be sent to the embassy and they will give you your new case number.

I will update the VSC summary stats on Monday, but things have not changed much since the last one.

In the meantime, here is an interim partial report:

VSC

There were 54 VJ VSC K1 petitions filed during May. As of now, 26 of them are still open. For the past 7 days VSC has averaged .43 VJ K1 approvals per day.

Assuming that 10% of the open May petitions are dead, at the current pace it will take approximately 54 days to complete May.

CSC/NSC/TSC

There were 150 VJ K1 petitions filed during May. As of now, 83 of them are still open. For the past 7 days CSC has averaged 3.71 VJ K1 approvals per day.

Assuming that 10% of the open May petitions are dead, at the current pace it will take approximately 20 days to complete May.

Open petitions from months prior to May are considered to be of primary importance but are assumed to be minimal and are not reflected in interim report calculations.

If he can get email he is probably checking here anyway. But in any case, maybe it would be a good idea to wait until the process works for someone else also. No sense getting him all worked up if this turns out to be a one time thing.
