This really isn't a good way to look at "touches." There's a thead floating around here somewhere where a former USCIS employee explains that touches simply mean your file was shuffled in some manner. Touches do not mean your case is moving forward. There is what is called the "RFE trick," but it's not really used as a touch generator. Do a forum search for "RFE Trick" and you'll come up with the steps.

Here are the new VSC summary stats that reflect approvals dated through Oct 13th. To compare to the previous report, click here.

I changed the processing time period to one that covers from the date the petition was sent to the NOA2 date.

The projected number of processing days is based upon the number of open petitions divided by number of petitions approved per day for the last 30 days. As the approval rate changes, the projected processing time will change also. Perhaps dramatically. Please do not take the projections too seriously.

This table lays out very well in my Internet Explorer. If it looks strange in your browser please let me know.

In case you haven't seen. USCIS posted their new processing goals and the timeframe for us stayed the same...

I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child 6 Months

I was disappointed to see that they have fallen behind on the H-1B's.

I doubt if the pace picks up for us much as long as the H-1B's are out of compliance and the K1's & K3's are still within the 6 month processing timeframe. It is interesting to note that CSC is in compliance on the H-1B's and they seem to be processing K1's at a much better pace than VSC.

However, there may be cause for some optimism. The received dates on the pre price increase surge in H-1B's should not be much after June 2. Maybe it won't take VSC that much longer to clean up the rest of the H-1B surge since they are currently working on July 26 for 2 of the 3 H-1B categories. The third category has been at April 23 for the last two reports so I don't know what is going on there.

Im tired of trying to figure out reasons for the slow down or trying to break down numbers and statistics to figure when my approval is coming!! It does nothing but frustrate me because in the end they ( USCIS or VSC ) have the final word without my word or opinion meaning absolutely nothing.
