This is crazy....#######? What does USCIS want us to do about this tedious process? They are heartless. Man mid October is coming and they are still playing games. How you skip to June and bypass May? It's a good thing that I live states away from this place. Sometimes I feel like taking the day off and going down there to give them a piece of my mind. I hope no one on here is trying to pull a sick game on us. I am up and down with my emotions. Sometimes I feel optimistic and sometimes like right now, I am not impressed with this whole situation.

Guys, we need a plan of action. At the end of October, we need to decide what we are going to do about this process? I can't believe that these people are turning me into a monster! :alien:

Virgillionaire, I think this is the site you are looking for on the receipt updates:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

Thanks, it was similar to that. But I was looking for the quote about 'our priorities are aos, blah blah' therefore 'we're moving adjudicators to this bla, blah'.

I think it's a different one. :)

Is this the one: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

This one specifically states that I 485 gets first priority.

Also THANKS to everyone for all their efforts.

Hello this is the VSC poser Russ. :innocent: Actually if anyone could have read my thoughts on the VSC these past few weeks they would have been afraid very afraid!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I emailed CNN news with a suggestion for a news story concerning the problems we all have. I gave a brief explanation to what problems we all have and pointed out that the USCIS is setting immigration policy by giving priority to some work visas and delaying processing of family visas. Their role should be to administer immigration policy not set it.

I don’t know if contacting CNN or any other network will get our story out but it is another stone to turn so maybe some others would like to contact them.

Thanks Russ

Congratulations Russ and the other VSC approval we had today. We are glad you took the time to post and even more that you took the time to contact your elected officials and some media places, not just that it may help us, but all of those who come after us. This separation from our loved ones causes most of us all a lot of emotional pain and suffering and some react with more anger than others. I can understand how some could have came to the conclusion of not trusting USCIS and doubting everything, but we just need to stick together and do our best to improve the system. I know there are a bunch of us that filed in May hanging out here. A couple VSC approvals...I hope we are very soon...like tomorrow. Good luck to all.

I feel the approvals will keep coming in a couple a day now. I was a government employee for three years back in the 80's; new employees are put through a difficult training program and will be used to help with only little parts of cases for many months. I am sure things will start to move for us all.

Here is the response from my RSVP:

Thank you for your RSVP to our Friday, October 12, teleconference on “USCIS Receipting Delay - How Does This Affect You?” at 2:30 EDT. We have received a very large response to this teleconference and would appreciate your sending us questions you may want answered during the call ahead of time. In addition, if more than one person in your office plans to listen-in, we ask that you please just use one phone line to dial into the call as we have a limited number of phone lines available.

We will provide the guidelines for the call and the call-in number by late in the day Thursday or Friday morning. In the meantime, you may wish to review our previous Annual Reports to Congress and our recommendations to USCIS at www.dhs.gov/cisombudsman.

Thank you again,

CIS Ombudsman’s Office

The only topic of conversation will be receipting delays? If so that is a shame. The primary issue we need to address is prioritization. K1 & K3 petitions should be given higher priority than employment based petitions. Period. End of story. The lousy cusomer service is a pain, but until they give us back our adjudicators customer service is a minor consideration. I would prefer to see some approvals and get lousy customer service on the phone than to have excellent customer service and no approvals.

We are US citizens and we should have higher priority than non citizens that want to come here to work. We and our ancestors fought the wars and paid the taxes that created this wonderful country. I fail to see why someone who wants to come here and work at Google should be given priority over my fiancee.

I would suggest that anyone speaking to a reporter emphasize the prioritization issue also.

I dont know how the format goes, but believe me bill, I have your back. I plan on mentioning this and many other things about the state of K1s at VSC if they give me an opportunity to talk. Of course they will probably hang up on me, but what the hell, you gotta try.

When I get the notification of the telecon, I will post the details of the email here, in case others dont get the email in time. I want to have as much VJ support as I can, because I plan on laying it on the line to these people, and I dont want to be the only one saying this stuff. The more like minded people that we have there to support one another, and speak with one voice, the better off we will be. Because you just know the lawyers are all going to be saying the same things about the work visas. We need multiple voices saying the same thing to make an impact.

Thats what happens when there are approvals. The averages get recalculated and the projected adjudications are adjusted.

But obviously the VJ algorithm has still not caught up with reality since they are projecting your approval for last week. The algorithm can be slow to reflect the current situation when there are not very many approvals. :(
