Like US Wendy, I have had an exchange of emails with a Washington Post Reporter. Here is a sample of what I sent:

"I do use VisaJourney on a daily basis. Its a great resource and wealth of information. The community there is amazing and the support it offers is needed. So many use it to vent, get information on how to handle the initial petition all the way through AOS. The main reason VisaJourney is so popular is because of the emotional rollercoaster, lack of information or information that is just hard to find. Many share their experiences and advice well after their "journey" has ended. We wouldn't be able to get through this process without this support. You will find a few main themes amongst all that are memebers:

1. Length of time to process petitions

2. Confusion over the process

3. Lack of information or Misinformation from the service centers

4. Frustration over how work loads are prioritized within USCIS

Many find that the wait and the visa process take such a toll on their relationships. We have members who are married and just had babies, but the husbands petition is delayed or held up in this red taped process. They haven't met their own children yet. We have some that were denied and really have no true understanding why. I myself will go through the Egyptian Embassy in Cairo, which is known as one of the slowest ones. After waiting 4-6 months for our NOA2, we then wait for NVC to forward the petition to the Embassy which can take another month or more. After 5-7 months from filing we hope to have our interview. After our interview the Egyptian Embassy can take an average of 4 more months of Administrative Processing. Some have waiting 10 months or longer for their visas to be approved and issued after an interview. What makes it hard is that each Embassy is different. Some give the visa the day OF the interview..some a few weeks. This is why VisaJourny is so important to us who belong. We understand each others pain. We travel this road together in hopes that one day, we will each find our own happy ending. For now, we have our hopes, our dreams and the support of others who travel the same road we do. This is the heart of VisaJourney.

If you'd like to talk further, I'd be happy to discuss more in depth some of the issues we at VisaJourney find as we travel through this difficult immigration process.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Faith Keenan"

We need to keep pushing. Byron, Mirla...and others from early May deserve answers as to what the wait is on their petitions while others of us in June are starting to get approvals...Im happy we are...but they deserve an answer. What if it was one of us June filers and December comes along most others in June are done and we still wait. How would I feel???? We are with you guys...we won't forget you or leave you behind...I for one will continue after my NOA2 to send letters till you guys get answers....

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE APPROVAL....

June 1 acutally on the NOA1 date I saw......

The reporter from Washington Post is calling me tomorrow for an interview. Does anyone have anything they want addressed? Or a story shared? If you want me to share your story, please email/pm me here and i'll be sure to share it. I wouldn't give details or names without approval. So let me know. If she is going with this story...we need to coordinate that CHOCOLATE DROP to corospond to the article. As well as letters AGAIN to all involved.

By the way...we all owe US Wendy a huge THANK YOU and round of applause for her hard work to get a reporters attention at such a large newspaper. Remember...Washington Post stories are easily picked up by the AP, Reuters or many other news avenues. I'd suggest Oprah again as well as mailing her clippings of this story if it transpires.

Maybe, if one or both are for real and not VSC posers just toying with us. The one May 23rd person didn't join VJs until end of Sep and hasn't posted a single post as far as I can tell. I'll feel a hell of a lot more confident when I see some of our regulars in here from May get approved.

Im sure its not...I know how I'd feel...

There were actually THREE approved from Vermont this past 7 days. Not to make more May filers gag..but 2 from June, 1 from May. (Sorry guys) I think the only way to get action is to keep the heat on. Keep mailing letters, send to the newspapers...US Wendy is just an example of what ONE person can really do...she isnt just here complaining...she's DOING something about it...lets get behind the wheel she set in motion and keep it going...it may start small..but the WASHINGTON POST????? Is nothing to hoot at...thats huge!!!

Once again THANK YOU WENDY for getting our voices heard a bit louder....kudos to you.

Really? So you trust them and believe none of them read our forum post and have big egos that may feel they need to do something like this?? I have seen Government employees do a lot worse...well, US Wendy's article she posted proved that too. But let me tell you, egos are huge in Government employees. Have you ever dealt with the Department of Labor, Social Security Administration, IRS, or even state Department of Motor Vehicles? I have...

Anyway, good, I hope they are for real, but I stand strongly by my position that I will feel more confident when I see one of us regular May filers/posters here in this forum get approved.

By the way, I am not just complaining. I mailed out 27 letters + 2 more to the Vermont Senators after seeing thejoz post.
