Question for Mirla

I think a couple of days ago you spent days out building something or helping someone..? Now it looks like you don´t, cuz you are here more often. Did it feel better to spend the days outside doing something and not looking at the USCIS webpage, VJ and simply not spend the day by the computer? Or was it just more dissapointing that you were hoping all day, came home and found nothing new?

Here is the response from my RSVP:

Thank you for your RSVP to our Friday, October 12, teleconference on “USCIS Receipting Delay - How Does This Affect You?” at 2:30 EDT. We have received a very large response to this teleconference and would appreciate your sending us questions you may want answered during the call ahead of time. In addition, if more than one person in your office plans to listen-in, we ask that you please just use one phone line to dial into the call as we have a limited number of phone lines available.

We will provide the guidelines for the call and the call-in number by late in the day Thursday or Friday morning. In the meantime, you may wish to review our previous Annual Reports to Congress and our recommendations to USCIS at www.dhs.gov/cisombudsman.

Yes, I was away and it was a big dissapointment to check my email on tuesday morning and find nothing...

Unfortunately, while I was there, working my @ss off, sometimes VSC crossed my mind and also before going to sleep but I wasn't stressed out about it though...I was more stressed out about finishing three houses in 2 days and half...hahaha! And about another tremble we had over there while I was finishing my last house.

Actually, on tuesday morning, as soon as I walked into my house, I didn't check my email nor USCIS website, I called Pat instead and after long shower and breakfast, I decided to check but I was sooooo tired to be mad! All I wanted to do was sleep!!!

I did miss a lot VJ, I was so curious to know how many people got approved from VSC!

I had a great time on the weekend! It definitely was much better than speding my weekend on my laptop....This weekend made me realize that what I'm going through right now is nothing compared to what this people is going through right now....believe me, for 3 days, I felt like I was from that place......not good at all.

The only topic of conversation will be receipting delays? If so that is a shame. The primary issue we need to address is prioritization. K1 & K3 petitions should be given higher priority than employment based petitions. Period. End of story. The lousy cusomer service is a pain, but until they give us back our adjudicators customer service is a minor consideration. I would prefer to see some approvals and get lousy customer service on the phone than to have excellent customer service and no approvals.

We are US citizens and we should have higher priority than non citizens that want to come here to work. We and our ancestors fought the wars and paid the taxes that created this wonderful country. I fail to see why someone who wants to come here and work at Google should be given priority over my fiancee.

I would suggest that anyone speaking to a reporter emphasize the prioritization issue also.

I think a prescription for Valium should be issued by USCIS when they send you your NOA1.

That way they would never receive phone calls from people wanting to know what's going on

with this long wait.
