I usually just go with 'Ms' for everyone, unless they've specifically requested otherwise; much safer ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

We need to encourage others from other parts of VJ to write to Oprah and legislators as well. CSC...has approved some JUNE noa1's but if you look at date SENT they are from EARLY to MID MAY!!! Most have waited over 140 days...Remember...its not just K1's...its the ENTIRE PROCESS we have an issue with...INCLUDING ours.

A march...should include more than just us...we nneed to orgaize it...get the word out.... Anyone want to check into what legal requirements there are? Someone needs to plan what supplies we would need..(signs, podium, speakers, music, food, refreshment, where would we march, when)

Lets get the ball rolling...show of hands who is willing to work on a March...either in WAshington..OR in their own backyards coordinated for the same day as the washington march...

My adjudication date fell by another 2 days... um, if there have been no approvals, why would the date change? What am I missing? Just some simple cruel and unusual punishment for the heck of it? :vomit: [-- how do i get that little green emoticon who's gonna be sick?]

Maybe there are new people who just joined VJ but are further along in the process?

Question while I am gathering the info on attorneys.

How many attorneys do we want? Are we looking at all over the US, in certain parts, high profile?

Anything to help me narrow it down would be appreciated :)

would there be any issue, re the chocolate, about them not being allowed to accept food gifts from unknown origin? that might sound absurd, but I've heard of it before :?

The point really isn't for them to enjoy the chocolates so it doesn't matter. It's to make a statement.

Actually, StillThePrettiest has a valid point. There can be issues raised with the ability to "accept" the gifts if it exceeds a token amount, I believe being $25. I work with a lot of military and Federal folks and they get this drilled into their heads so much that it can become comical, especially when a group goes out to lunch or dinner.

That having been said, you've got 2 choices: Send them something big that forces them to throw it away/return it (Imagine Washington Post Headline "VSC discards tons of Ghiardelli's while children die of starvation and Loved ones remain separated".

OR

send them LOTs of little packages, to as many individuals as you can identify. Too bad we couldn't find out employee names, accumulated from those who might have had contact with on phone or (somehow) in person.

Ideally those chocolates should be hand delivered with the news media taking photos for a story...too bad I don't live close to them...and by the way, the cost of the amount of flowers they got exceeded the "gift acceptance limit."

There will probably always be a reason not to do it. Anyway, maybe a truck of chocolates will make the statement. I still want dips on at least a box of them for myself.
