I was just checking my attorney's web site it says there two approvals from VSC with NOA1 date 5/18/2007 and NOA2 date 9/24/2007 I am not sure if they are VJ'ers.

Mirla you are next, hope you will get it by the time I come back.

Thanks cuteprince, I'm going away to do voluntary work from friday to monday night, I'll be building small wood houses for the people who lost everything in the earthquake we had in August so in case I don't hear anything before friday, I have to be approved by monday when I get back! hahaha!

Wow. That is great thing for you do to. :)

Let's hope the good karma from your good deed gets those VSC guys moving on your petition!

Thanks for sharing the info. I guess that would make 10 total accounted for in September. Assuming you meant NOA2 for the 18 May one...the other September (VJers) are below. This would mean for September: First work week they approved 1 NOA2, second work week 3, third work week 4, and fourth work week 2. hmmm...still pretty sorry looking...

If it was up to me the whole world would stop until no one was hungry or abandoned. Of course it's nice they are helping these people, maybe they could even manage to make Iraq less of a living hell someday. And maybe some help from Iraqi's themselves would go a long way, frankly. But if they were doing refugee processing and the K1s it would be easier to take. Maybe leave behind the office slacker for us, surely he could manage one NOA2 a day and I think we would be happy.

I don't think it is too much to ask to get some consideration. Because the NOA2 is really such a minor and historically fast step, 6 months is a little ridiculous. And BTW, what's to stop them from cruising past the 6 months date? Nothing, it's only a guideline as I understand it. Some of the other types of visas have a legal requirement to be done in 2 months. And that's probably what we'll start hearing at 6 months ...

This is exactly what I expect to happen at the current pace. In 6 months, the updates will simply start showing what dates they are working on just like old times, but it will be stuff that is over 6 months old. They are under no requirements to keep to the 6 month timeline, lets not forget that. Its only a GUIDELINE. I know I probably shouldnt complain, since it has only been 20 or so days since I got my NOA1, but with the current pace, that 724 days for Sept filers that is posted upthread doesnt sound too far off to me, and I dont want that to happen.

So, what am I doing? I wrote my senators, and I call the customer service folks 1 time per week and give them a piece of my mind. They can be rude all they want with me, but I still keep at them. One day, hopefully, I will get a hold of a person that knows ####### is going on.

wow.. what's up with that "waiting since 2006" thread. At 6 months, all my congressman would _hear_ about it. If nothing happened still, I would drive to Vermont and protest in the parking lot or whatever the heck is there, and probably get hauled away in handcuffs.

Don't let up on the pressure....keep contacting your elected officials. There are Congressional Liaisons at USCIS-->so your Congressman/women and Representatives can get more information that we ever could as individual petitioners. Again, the ONLY way to get more action is to expose what is going on.....all their dirty little secrets.

Like a few on here, I am headed overseas to be with my SO in about 30 days. I, for one, don't think I can stand to sit here for the next two months waiting for an NOA 2 that may or may not come...but I plan to continue the fight from abroad.

The memo about delayed receipts, I feel, was due in small part to our efforts. But, I am not happy with that tiny 'scrap of meat'.

You won't see me cheering on VSC because when you are wrong, you're wrong. As I see it, they have STOLEN prescious time from me and my fiance that I can NEVER get back and for that, they get no credit whatsoever. This 'systemic' problem with USCIS has been on-going....longer than the Iraq war and a lot of other atrocities here and around the world.

I would not, at all, be surprised to see them extend the '6-months' to 8-months or 12- months....then what are we to do? Just like a cancer, if you don't stop (or treat it) it now, it's only going to grow and grow and grow and grow..............................

BTW-->no slight or disrespect to anyone with cancer (or family member or friend), but you get my meaning.

NOA 2: 04-02-2008-->SECOND Petition approved

07-31-08- Entered the U.S.

09-17-08- Married

10-29-08: File AOS, EAD, AP

im so sorry for the loss, nivesito. :( im sorry also for the miscarriage of leidy, byron. :( i assumed she has hypertension. i think her pregnancy will not be a problem once her blood pressure is back to normal and be monitored especially when she's expecting. everything really happens for a reason. (F)

by the way, i was a preeclampsia baby. my mom almost died while giving birth to me. but a year after, my brother was born, and another year, and another more year. they stopped making babies after that. but im glad nothing bad happened to my mom. we really need her.

I had a twin sister but she couldn't make it and left me alone at the 10th week.....

I wonder how life would've been with her you know...

Sorry about your grandmo Nivesito...! But I'm sure she's taking care of you from where she is!!!

oh Mirla, i know what u mean. :( sorry to hear that.

US Wendy,

As usual, you are right on target again.

Bobalouie,

You are doing the right thing contacting your elected officials now and not waiting until you are like us 120+ days. Get your fellow September filers and others to do the same. Hopefully you all won't have to wait as long as us. Someone posted last year's wait and as you can see it was a heck of a lot better than our fate...and that was even after they raised the fees to "improve" their abilities.

As many have said, they can keep raising the 6mo timeframe...don't wait until that time to do something. Those that have taken action, thank you.

So, one of my letters was returned to me -- the one I sent to Mr. Alfonso Aguilar. It says "Return to Sender; No Longer at this Address".

I also got a reply from my NYC public advocate. I'm sure it's somewhat of a form letter, but they gave me a phone number to call to reach this guy who they said would handle my letter and said they'll be writing me back again.

Well, according to the following thread, one of the couples on bszoom's list was approved at some point and is already stateside on the K1 visa. Its Ian and Anne. I found this thread:

I have requested that they update their timeline, so hopefully they will. One more off the list though! We all move up one place!!!
