I think what has me most aggravated is that about 2 or 3 weeks ago when i called using the RFE trick i was told that my petition was with an officer....if so then how long does it take and officer to go through a batch of files...Something is seriously wrong here and to think that besides the point that the process is at a halt, now they tell you things that might not be true...and if it is true that it was with an officer then what is going on??? Every single one of us going through Vermont has legitimate cause to be upset a little

It is extremely ridiculous. For those of you that are soooo close it is even more painful. I am just throwing my hands in the air and expecting my STUPID NOA2 in December which is the 6 month period because they can't get there ###### together.

For those that rationalized for moving the Iraqis ahead of us…

The UN says notorious human rights abusers include Algeria, Cuba, China, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. They go on to say Sudan, and Zimba¬bwe are also some of the world's worst human rights abusers. Does this mean our citizens who are trying to follow the laws to immigrate our spouses or future spouses should take a back seat to citizens of these countries. Should we sit by patiently while VSC processes eight NOA 2’s for us in the entire month of September while the Government processed 889 Iraqis through in the same month? Now we see they are pledging to process 1,000/month this fiscal year. We would see how patient those preaching patience and understanding are if Vermont changes their service time for us to 12 months because they aren’t efficient and they feel so many others are more important than us being with our loved ones.

I agree with US Wendy, “Sure, I feel sorry for the Refugees and they are certainly in a worse place than I am right now.” but so is over half of the world. By the way, I have been to some of these poor countries on humanitarian military missions and let me tell you many in the camps were treated and fed better than their normal every day lives before the camps. It is all relative, sure if average American citizen and put him in a camp like that it would seem terrible for them. Not so with most of those in these camps. Before the camps they were abused, had little rights, very little food, no medicine, etc. Our government should provide us better service than they are, period…I’m sorry I am not willing to allow everyone in the world who does have life as good as us to step ahead of my future spouse.

I also refuse to cheer on VSC or give them accolades. One of the things I have read in many posts already is how people hate their communication and wonder why they aren’t told more. You know what they said when I called them and mentioned their communication problem? They said, “What is the problem? We state 6 months and people should not expect communication beyond what is on the web site before that point.” I guess now that we know that we should all just be happy campers and wait for the 6 month point to say anything…not me…I’ve joined the many others who have written their senators and congressmen…hell, gotta do something besides get irritable each day seeing the depressing news of none of the VJ members getting their NOA 2’s. Looking at old posts when times were good you can see how everyone is cheerful and supportive of each other. Now I see when times are bad people often attack each other on the forum. Rather than attack each other we should unite against the ####### being thrown on us…6 month standard, hell who set that bullshit timeframe…I guess the same losers can change it at their whim….here is how it is supposed to work…just last year…

Im all for helping out refugees. My parents are from africa and i have family in africa who i believe are going through the same struggle. Some were fortunate to get out and escape the terrible humanity they have to cope with in their everyday lives and many were less fortunate to leave. same goes to the iraqi's. they want to come to america so thay can have a better life, and i wish all the best for them. sure, its great for the gov't :more workers generates more tax dollars. i pay tax too.. alot of it.. and i would like to be treated fairly also by this gov't. i don't see it as a priviledge to live here, i believe its my right because i have paid my dues to be a part of this fine place. But its crazy to read how many iraqi's are being accepted to the USA and they can't even adjudicate and accept a few K1 petitions. it seems rediculous. No matter how much we want to help out those in need who have a worse life than us, were just gonna have to put our hands up and admit defeat at times that no problems in this world are ever going to get solved. I don't want to sound like a mean SOB but we have to carry on with our lives with our loved ones and try to help out those in need when this phase of our life is over with. Many may not agree this hard stance, but sometimes (not all the time) you have to think whats better for you . end of story.

Its all a bunch of BS...and to top it off, when calling and trying to ask questions, its like im inconveniencing the operators , customer support reps, whatever you want to call them...they are cold and heartless..customer " support" ..cmon....i understand the flood of petiotions or the other million reasons for the slow down...but BALANCE, thats all i ask for....i will probably get approved before many but i still find it unfair that we have to o through this because it is a process that cold have more order and expedited a little faster!

AMEN brother! I read some arrogant vet poster in another thread say something to a newbie like "you'll survive." ######, life is short and my future spouse and I want to spend as much time together on this earth as possible. People die young every day and each day without our future spouse is one less day on earth together...screw that BS
