California Service Center and Vermont Service Center are currently assisting in data entry of employment-based I-485 and related forms (I-140, I-765, and I-131) received at Texas Service Center between the dates of 7/28 and 8/8. As a result, some applicants may receive receipt notices from a service center different than the one they originally applied to.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

This links you to the latest regarding receipt delays. It's been three months and I still don't have my hard copy, but I can live with that.

It's the first part about CSC and VSC working on data entry for Employment-based forms that makes me REAL nervous.

I think this 'hypothesis' has been explored before. This is jut an...FYI.

Your thoughts?

My theory has been that they were swamped by the H1B holders in the U.S. allowed to apply for greencards in an unusual unlimited number until August 12.

'Employment based AOS' could be mean employment visa holders (H1B) adjusting status (AOS) or applying for greencards. So if they are up to August 8 roughly on those, maybe they are almost done. On a down note it's clear we have the lowest priority.

But at least we're getting better info, maybe the ombudsman suggested letting people know what week they are working on after the letters

Still, I don't see a lot of evidence they're working on NOA2 s at all. SHOW ME THE NOA2s!!!! :bonk:

Well, mine was dead before for almost a year...I forgot about him....A friend reset it and it worked but soemthing wasn't right, we opened it and two screws were lose inside and was touching the small hard disk.....we restore it and put the screws back and it was working fine for several months but it makes a weird noise....so yesterday it went crazy and I think those losen screws damage the hard disk....so tomorrow I'm bringing it to my friend's house and hopefully we will find a solution cause I don't want to buy another Ipod....!!! I want to wait for the 80GB Ipod Touch to come out...cause I'm sure it will!!! hahaha! And buy it! :D

Oh!!! Btw, USCIS website it's not currently avaliable due to maintenance!! Maybe they're updating thier timelines and our NOA2's :D :D

I have to say, if they are working on AOS stuff...regardless of whether it's for people who hold H1 or K1 or any other visa. More power to them. The quicker they can get people their green cards or get them naturalized, that's a great step forward, and I believe they deserve that.

If that info is right, then our projected dates are not too far off.

If they're going to work on Mid June by next month, then that means Mid July (which is me!) by end of November...and that's where my projected date lies.

Oh I will be so thrilled if my Amy is back before next Spring!

Stay positive! Especially you, Byron and Mirla! Ya'll have to be coming up within the next week or so, no doubt in my mind

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of you guys , you made me feel that I have a big loving family , even though I don’t have a big family …. Thank you so much … there was a days which I use to cry infornt of the computer seen people who Failed on July and getting approved same month … I was like that is so unfair for us for each one of us here who has been witting … that use to depress me so much , and to be honest I didn’t find any answer why was that …. Even though this people NOT a Military member , or they are special case ..

Been in a military it doesn’t change or even make different in your case …and if you guys look at my time line …. That is 125 DAYS … so where is the it shows that we been approved earlier because we are a military … and to make you even feel better he just got back from 6 month deployment and guess what he might be sent any time soon and we chose not to use this to get us approved faster then anyone here because its not fare for everyone failed before us ,

So am really sorry that we got approved earlier then some of the guys here believe we don’t know why and we have nothing to do with it .

Plus am really happy right now I got to get married to my man and spend sometimes with him before he get sent back for another deployment ..

Am praying for all of you guys my thoughts are with all of you .

ALEXPZ JUST GOT APPROVED!!!! GO TO THE MAY FILERS THREAD !!!!!

Indeed, both bluesalmon and alex I believe were CSC...nice to see them getting some approvals. I know many who went through CSC when they were much slower than VSC. Now VSC has the slowness distinction.

I just had a bad thought. You know how some of those who already have their visas can´t seem to get along with those of us who are tired of waiting? It all seemed so childish to me. But in light of the paragraph that follows, it appears that maybe we should be the ones who are annoyed. Those SOB´s took our adjudicators! :ranting:

¨The Application to Adjust Status (I-485) will have first priority because USCIS needs to ensure that these applications are receipted in a timeframe that would allow processing of an application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) within 90 days of filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)]. Our second priority will be to receipt the Application for Naturalization (N-400) so that we can minimize any delays in obtaining citizenship. USCIS is working to ensure all Applications for Adjustment of Status (I-485) are receipted and any accompanying applications for employment authorization documents (EADs) are processed within 90 days. USCIS is realigning its resources to meet this deadline.¨

;)

No, please don't go there!

It's not their fault, it's the USCIS's poor managment that led to this.

I'm annoyed with the behaiviour of those guys myself, but let's not ourselves start acting the same.

--Igor

I did a quick peek at numbers:

over the last 6 months VJ'ers with CSC numbered 650 (including nebraska and texas) while VCS only took in 145 K1 Petitions. That means that us VSC'ers only make up approximately 18.5% of the K1 petitions filed on VJ. With THAT in mind its easy to see why VSC may have received a bulk of back work.
