Great info! So they are working to date on May 21 petitions.....uhm....what about early may...I don´t understand...I guees early may is included there...I think I´m not in the same page today.....

I called the Service Center RFE trick....WOW...she was soo nice and GAVE ME INFORMATION!!!! Can you believe it??

I told her I received an email that "looks" like it was from them asking for passport information and was concerned to verify before sending it. She looked and said it was not from them (really???). I said..ok thanks soo much...then using my past sales skills complimented her on being so nice...obviously this isn't the IRS I was dealing with cause I can't get that good of service from them...she ate it up...soooo I asked:

So, we filed in June and knew you were so fast...what happened? Here is the information I got:

I hope this gives everyone a bit of information to go on...to give you an idea when yours may be approved. She didn't know when they'd be finished with the back log...BUT if she was confindent mine would be worked in about a month...then they aren't expecting it to be caught up soon.... But the main thing is I felt I got information that I could use. And an estimate of what I can expect....Isn't that all we really want???

Great info! So they are working to date on May 21 petitions.....uhm....what about early may...I don´t understand...I guees early may is included there...I think I´m not in the same page today.....

I think that early May filers are on a desk...as the petitioner we go through several background/name checks....the adjudicators guide also says if they need to verify or find extra information they are to use available resources first before issueing an RFE...sooooooooooooo...while they may be breaking open the May 21 files as "fresh" files to work....the earlier ones are on someones desk being worked...that was my impression...

But also..her comments verify that our estimated adjudication dates are fairly accurate and reliable. Just nice to kjnow a bit more where we stand....

Hang in there...if you are waiting..someone IS working it...but maybe waiting on needed info from a seperate agency....

One more thing... I know some from May 25th or so have been approved to..if you look at the calander...May 21 is a Monday...they are working the "week of" May 21....

Nope. If it meant that, then the mass of petitions coming in would be interfiled by date. "Bulk" must have some meaning. Of something that is being processed specially. Not simple quantity.

Well, I thought that the meaning of bulk was like size, mass...about quantity...but if there is another menaing for that...I don´t know...anybody has a dictionary handy????? Hahaha!

I am wondering if they got a bulk assignment from H1's or something from say CSC??? Or another office that are getting out of processing dates. Sounds as if they were "sent" a bulk of back work that MUST be completed first as its old. Just an idea. But she was helpful in letting us know what week they are working on...better than the standard answer we usually get. Each time she' d say hold on let me check or look for the date they are currently working on and it seemed as if she was really looking.. not just making it up as she went...And it does corrospond to what we are seeing happening here.

Or they just have a huge bulk of petitons IN date order and are behind what they "normally" do. Dont forget there was a memo somewhere on USCIS stating that they extended the H1 visa acceptance date to mid August..and they have 2 months to process those. Meaning they should be done with those by mid october. So that may well be the "bulk" she meant. Either way...they have much more work then previous months...and they ARE working...
