Just some quick number crunching, out of 440 K1's...

64 at VSC with 8 approved = 12.5% have been approved.

The remaining 376 at CSC with 35 approved? Only 9.3% approved.

So, pound-for-pound, VSC is still doing better.

And for those who asked, my letter was mostly my own writing, with a few paragraphs of the letter written on here by US Wendy (?)

But there should still be a consistent flow of approvals, but it has gotten slower and slower. It was two weeks for VSCers in march now it's 4 months and counting ... Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but they are doing H1Bs or greencards for H1B holders or consolidating centers and training, etc.

I'll deal with it as it's not that long compared to the rest of my life but that doesn't make it fair or reasonable :protest:

I am happy that CSC is making progress recently, but I disagree that VSC is doing better overall. They haven't processed a NOA 2 for any of our members since Sep 18. Not one NOA 2 in nearly an entire week. As a matter of fact, the last 20 approved NOA 2s have been from the CSC. Don't get me wrong, I sure don't want the CSC to slow down. I wish everyone the best in getting with their loved ones ASAP. For those of you who may not have checked lately, here are the last 30 for NOA 2's with listed NOA1 and NOA 2 dates...

Most of you have heard my theory before. My guess is that they pulled the adjudicators off the K-1´s and they are not going to put them back until either:

A ) They get caught up on what they consider to be higher priority applications or.....

B ) Open K-1 petitions get close to violating the 6 month service level commitment.

I really hope it is not B, because May petitions won´t be 6 months old for another 1 to 2 months.

I am still hopeful they will be caught up on the other applications soon and they will be able to switch some adjudicators back to us. My original theory said that would take place between the middle and end of September. We´ve got the rest of this week to see if my theory holds water.

*Moan alert*

Is anyone else feeling like absolute sh*t at the moment?

Ever since I came back from my visit, I just can't seem to raise I smile. It's ridiculous. I get my hopes up about hearing something and then nothing, and all my hopes come crashing down again.

I can't believe how slow this process has become. I know that everyone else is in the same situation and probably feels exactly the same as I do... But I can't even get excited about other peoples good fortune anymore.. And that is something that I really don't want to be doing

It really piss*s me off that there is ABSOLUETLY nothing we can do about it either. It piss*s me off that that my WHOLE f'ing future is in the hands of the USCIS and that they just don't seem to give a sh*t about anyone. Wonder how they would like it?

Ok, i'm going now... Sorry for the mini rant! Just needed to let off a bit of steam.

Well we KNOW its slowed down...we KNOW we can't DO anything really but wait.... guess we have a few options, VERY FEW:

1. Be miserable and complain

2. Make the best of it...try to stay positive and look forward to the future

3. Be miserable and DO STH about it

4. Be positive and DO STH about it

I've done all i CAN DO...so..option 2 is mine for today. I had a few bad days...but am back on track..come on guys...we can't stay miserable...thats not so supportive of our far away loves....and it puts unneeded pressures on them and our relationships. The wait is pressure enough. So....what can we do to make this time pass faster?? Prepare, plan, and dream. I miss my guy..soooooooo much..and can't wait til he's here..but some of the numbers make sense..and in the end we WILL be together...isn't THAT what counts? Sure we want it FAST....but what counts is them here.... better than not having the option to bring them at all. God has a reason for each of us to wait...for me...i think its finances..He KNOWS i want/need to be there for our interview..and ca't afford it till January....I think I'll go bake cookies...anyone want some??? Coffee? Tea??

Yes and option 2 is what I do most of the time too... Just every now and again it really gets me down.. Grrrrr. I will get through it, i'm sure.

Thank you for your advice though :D

Some cookies would be fabulous... Got anything stronger than coffee or tea? ;)

Nora, I hope you are having a FANTASTIC time in America x

Don't forget the other option of joining many of us and spending just a few minutes and stamps to write your senators, congressmen, USCIS officials, media outlets, etc. Their lack of (and at times inaccurate) communication, unnacceptable 6 month goal, lack of compassion when customers call, providing employment VISAs a higher priority than K1/K3 VISAs, and allowing premium processing for many other types of VISA expect K1/K3 VISAs are the topics to voice your displeasure about. Unlike some of the other VISA category people, you may not be sending flowers to USCIS, and you may not be marching in Washington DC, but at least you will have attempted to do something to help yourself, the rest of us here in this forum, and the ones that go behind you missing their loved ones.
