I just got approved in Vermont on 9/17 (I think it is NOA2?). Vermont received our request on 5/26 and cashed the check on 5/30. Thought I would let everyone know. Good luck to all.

Wow. Congratulations!

They are Priscilla & Michael, # 18 on the K-1 pending list. I am so happy to see evidence that the adjudicators are adjudicating.

Congratulations!

I'm probably way too jealous... but are there any theories why some applications are processed before others? One would think this process would go linearly (efficient that way... ;) ).

My honey has been talking with a company here... and we're almost thinking that him getting a work visa may be faster at this point!!!!

all the best,

Gail

 Thank Goodness there is some good news!!!! My congratulations to all who FINALLY have some word about their petitions.

I don't know why, but I feel like I need to apologize about all the 'fireworks' on the other thread. I expected some backlash, but nothing like that! I'm soooo sorry if anyone had their feelings hurt. I, for one, was REALLY disturbed by the mean-spirited attacks, but....what can you do? I'm going to take the 'high road' on this one. There are a whole host of explainations in the DSM-IV.

Anyhoo? Anyone have any feedback from your letters and e-mails? I got all of mine out today. The Ombudsman sent a response to me. I won't go into any detail here........I'm thinking that any minute now, men in black suits are going to show up at my door. ha ha!!! :innocent:

Everyone have a GREAT night!!!!

What happened in the other thread was not your fault. The same information was posted everywhere, even here, and we managed to keep it civil here. I also expected some backlash but that was just nuts. I think we are probably better off leaving stuff here since we already know what is going on.

I am going to be sending my letters out tomorrow....both e-mail and snail mail :)

Ok i guess this is not of interest anyone, just thought some consistancy would help folks, and help stop all this crazy posting thats going on about timelines and wait times that make no sense. Alot of folks here are out of control, need to chill a little, relax, breath, its a process, it sucks, yes, but it is what it is, we are not buying a cheese burger here there is no instant gratification in this, just every one relax ok.

It seems to me there is a total lake of consistancy in peoples timelines and tracking methods. VJ tracks by both by date sent ( which in my opinion is meaningless), and by receipt date ( this is receipt date on Noa-1), but many people here are tracking either by the date they received the hard copy ( meaningless) and the date sent ( meaningless). We have been told quite cleary by a guy who worked at USCIS that the clock starts from the recieved date printed on the NOA-1, NOT the date you sent it, or the receipt date ( the mods might want to clarify that with him). But whichever one it is, its not the date you posted it or they signed for it, or the date you received the hard copy.

For example if like me you you posted in June but Noa1- received and receipt date ( as printed on NOA-1) is in July, you are a July filier, I think its pretty simple USCIS dont start the clock, by your post mark.

Lets get consistancy or the data is worthless

Nov 2nd 2006 met online

June 28th 2007 sent 1-129f to NSC

July 11th 2007 NOA-1 received date on NOA-1 (now at CSC)

March 10th 2008- P3 sent & returned

April 9th 2008- P-4

NOA-2 to NVC - 22 days

NVC Processing - 7 days

There is another thread where Captain Ewok says to correct the NOA1 dates, he scanned a NOA1 and explained that in I-129F sent you have to put the date of "Recieved Date" that appears on your NOA1 (hard copy) and in I-129F NOA1 you have to put the "Notice Date" that also appears on your NOA2.
