I think its something we should ALL send to all our political officials. And I think we should flood the offices ALL at the SAME time. It will be more powerful than having 10 this week, then 30 the following week, then 5 the next and so on....dont let this filter through...lets smash in the front door with it!! We deserve to know WHY this delay has occured and WHEN we can expect it to be fixed. This letter is awesome....

So WHEN can we coordinate this to get out to our officials and what media attentions can we gain???? Any suggestions on media?? has anyone journaled thier actual progress and phone calls and answers???

As you may already know, the new VSC Processing Dates have been published.

I was relieved to see that the processing timeframes have for the most part held steady. I was concerned that the July surge would put a lot of categories with 2 month processing service levels out of compliance. If that was the case I was afraid they would keep extra adjudicators working on those categories and leave us stranded.

Some of the nonimmigrant employment based categories have deteriorated a little, but it appears that even with those they should be finished working through the July surge soon since they are currently processing July 5 petitions.

I think this is good news. It gives me hope that they will be able to switch some adjudicators back to the K-1 petitions soon.

It also appears they have caught up on the I-130 spouse petitions a little. The processing timeframe went from January 31, 2007 to 6 months. It is not a huge change, but it is a step in the right direction.

I just checked the processing times but only CSC switched it to March 15th cause in VSC is still the same old same old "6 months"....

We should fix a particular day and flood their offices with our mails and Oh! yes we should have a seperate thread for this forum and have all of them sign in there so that we can keep track of how many people sent in for future reference.

9/18 1:45 PM ET. Updated Stats.

The projected number of processing days is based upon the number of open petitions divided by number of petitions approved per day for the last 30 days. As the approval rate changes, the projected processing time will change also. Perhaps dramatically. Please do not take the projections too seriously.

This table lays out very well in my Internet Explorer. If it looks strange in your browser please let me know.

Unfortunately if we want to send the letter snail mail, the letters will filter thru on their own accord due to differences in postal delivery times. Unless we are suggesting that we send it on the same day AND send it 2 or 3 day delivery or NDA. Whatever is decided, I am all in. I am a Sept filer and I dont want to wait 6 months for an approval, so whatever I can do early I am GOOD TO GO!

Well, the CSC has just now officially slipped past the 6 months goal. The processing times webpage for CSC now lists March 15th.

:ranting:

All the more reason for this effort.

Good luck to us all, we'll need it.

No it hasn't. They are processing petitions from March. March to Sept is 6 months. They are processing petitions from April and May though as well. Six months is just a generality.

You would have been correct if it was simply March to Sept, but it's not, they list a specific day - March 15th, today is Sept 18th, that's more then 6 months. Also, the processing times webpage specifically says that if they are on time then they simply list their target timeframe (in the case of 129f 6 months), but if they go past that, they list the specific date of the application they are processing (that is where I got the March 15th). I realize that yes, they are also processing petitions from April and May, but this shows that they are slipping in general.

Anyway, I think we all agree that something needs to be done about this, and I think this letter is a great thing for all of us to do. Big thanks to everyone who's working on it.
