So I know I am far from this interview right now, but my questions on this is what do they ask you and was anyone ever wrong. For Example I have been told they may ask your husband what shampoo you use. I asked my husband and he says the green bottle. Does he need to know the exact name? I doubt my husband even knows what shampoo he uses because I buy it. He will say something like the Men's red bottle stuff with the boat on it. Do they ask you stuff like this? I mean do you study this stuff? I feel like if I make him learn all this stuff that they will think we practiced to hard and they will think our marriage is fake.

So if you could share with me your questions, answers, any info on this stuff that would be great. Did you study for this stuff. I thought about making lists for my husband and make him start shopping for me and I for him. What about my favorite color? It changes all the time. OK anyways you get the point. Anything here will help.

No, those are not typical consular interview questions for a spousal visa, at least not in Mexico. Questions like that seem to be more likely at the AOS interview when they don't believe the validity of the relationship.

Start with these questions for an idea - I would also search on google for sample spousal interview questions.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, watch the movie "Green Card" until after your journey is over. It's cute entertainment, but very wrong on several important points.

If they have a reason to suspect fraud, they may interview both members of the couple separately, and compare their answers to a series of questions. This is called a "Stokes interview". This is very unusual, and only happens after they suspect fraud. They're way overworked and don't have nearly enough time to do this sort of thing routinely.

If you do go through a Stokes interview, you'll be given a chance to respond after the interview and explain any discrepancies. You don't have to get a 100% score to pass. But your answers should be similar enough so that someone looking at the big picture would believe you're in a bona fide relationship consistent with what you've described.

Plenty of people in bona fide relationships don't pay much attention to toothpaste brands; some people switch brands, buying whatever's on sale. That's not a big deal (I'm not even 100% sure what brand of toothpaste I used this morning.) But if you claim you spent last Christmas together in your shared apartment, and you say you had an artificial tree in the corner of the living room opposite the front door, while your spouse says it was a real tree right next to the front door, or that your shared religion doesn't observe Christmas, so you had no tree at all, then you'll have some explaining to do.

That sort of Stokes interview isn't something you can or should study for. In the rare case where it comes up, it'll be easy for a bona fide couple to pass.

FWIW, at our consular interview, the most personal question they asked was "What was your wedding date?"

LOL They expect my husband to remember our wedding date.....HA HA that is funny  ....He is going to say Oct 26 and not Oct 18 because that is his daughters birthdate :bonk: . I say happy anniversary every 18th of the month, but I don't think he even notices the date. I will ask him when he comes home tonight. THanks!!!

I made an effort to memorise my Wife's birth day.

Not needed, not asked, waste of effort.

I do know she uses Sensodyne, I got Colgate and was given a slagging off for not knowing.

Do not worry about all those questions when you go to your initial interview they just ask you when you got married and stuff like that but together and any of you two can answer...I went with my husband and my daughter and didn't take more than 20 minutes...they just separate you and ask you those kind of questions when there's something that may be suspicious that the marriage is not bona fide...Don't worry
