Hi guys, we have a flight to the US tomorrow. We've been trying to pay the immigrant fee since Friday but every time we try to input the information it says "Unexpected Error Occurred". We also cannot access "My Account" or create a new one.

Can we still travel and pay for the immigrant fee AFTER arrival?

Thanks.

The $220 fee can be paid either before or after entering the US.  Be aware that the plastic green card will not be sent to you until you have (1) Entered the US AND (2) paid the $220 fee........but yes, you can pay after you enter the US.

EDIT:  Whether you pay the fee before or after entering the US, it has no effect on your status when you enter.  You will immediately gain status as a legal resident.  Your endorsed spousal visa will act as your evidence of status until the plastic card arrives.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Most people pay prior to traveling, but it is not mandatory to do so.  You can pay here:  https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee/start-payment

I had that happen 2 days ago while logging in to see if anything changed, then the next day they announced their new website.

So maybe they're doing some maintenance over the weekend.

Thanks for the info! We're in the US now.

We're still trying to pay but no luck.
