Hello all, I have a question that I hope you all can help me with.

i met this girl online last year. We became friends right away. She applied for a visitors visa and was denied. She wanted to come to America so we could meet, i couldn't go to Korea because i couldnt get time off of work at that time. She did something very stupid. She wanted to surprise me and see me. She went to Mexico and tried crossing the border and got caught. I recieved a phone call one day from El Paso, it was her. She was being help in the detension center. I flew to El Paso to see her. So the first time we met was behind glass while she was being held. I knew then i wanted to be with her for the rest of my life. She was released back to Korea on a Voluntary Removal. I got some time off of work and went to Korea last month and we are now engaged. I am gathering the INFO for the K-1 application now.

I was wondering if there is going to be a problem because of her trying to cross the border and getting caught? She went through Voluntary removal so she would not be banned from coming back to the USA the proper way.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I´m not sure so you better ask for more opinions but I think that if she did a voluntary removal it might not be impossible to get the visa although it will raise red flags and this issue will be questioned.

The best advice anyone can give you is just be honest! I'm sure it helps that when she was denied entry to the US it was because she was trying to come and visit you... had she ever been refused entry before, or was this the first time? Lots of people are refused visitors visas and it has no bearing on a K-visa later, because they're meant for different things. If they deny you a visitors visa because you don't have enough ties to your home country it means they're afraid you're going to try to stay in the US illegally instead of going home... but that's no reason to deny a K visa.
