Hey everyone. So we have filed for adjustment of status and filed for the advance parole and employment authorisation etc and I know typically it should take 120 days. It’s now gone over that and I completely expected delays because of coronavirus but my question is, is there anyway I can check on the status? I can see online that you can call USCIS but it only mentioned to check on green card status which obviously takes a lot longer? I also tried online but it’s really delayed and still shows as “approved” so is there anyway I can check on the status or do we have any idea how long these documents could take/ how long the delay is?

it might be a stupid question so I’m sorry if so, any help would be appreciated

Did you look at current processing times as reported on the uscis website?

YMMV

I can’t find that, I can only see current processing times for the green card which is a lot longer at 9-36 months. I didn’t see one for employment authorisation or advance parole

So your forms were approved already?

Did you do biometrics? If not, you will only receive a card after doing biometrics.

If you did biometrics, it's taking about 3 weeks from approved to card is mailed.

No I’ve not done biometrics yet, I was under the impression you only need to do that for the green card and not for the employment authorisation and advance parole? I thought they were usually approved without that?

Nope. You need biometrics to get your card issued. Once you are done with biometrics, you will receive your card.

Oh okay. Do you know when I can expect to have a biometrics appointment? I just want to have a rough idea on timings but I can’t see how to check, I only see how to check on green card

Thank you for sending this, I clicked on the page for the I-765 status but it doesn’t actually show any processing times? I’m not sure if I’m just doing it incorrectly somehow

Your form is already approved, so the processing time doesn't matter anymore to you.

No one can tell when you will receive biometrics . You don't have biometrics yet because of COVID, so there's nothing you can do besides waiting. Reschedules are happening but at a much lower rate than before.

My husband submitted the AOS, Employment Authorization Doc and Advanced Parole in July 2019... Biometrics were done in August 2019 and he didn't receive the EAD and ADvanced Parole card until Jan 2020 if that gives you an idea of how long things are taking. The AOS (Greencard) is still in processing. The USCIS website states that they have been ready to schedule an interview for the AOS since December 2019 and they will schedule it and send notice.... It's now July 2020.  I called back in March 2020 to inquire if anything was wrong or what was holding up the process and the representative said there is nothing wrong. It's just taking a long time to schedule interviews.  All we can do it wait!
