Timeline

Hi 

 

Could someone explain who can expedite a case... F3 category and at nvc stage paid fees and submitted forms.. if i can.. can you tell me the process .. i have read it gets sent to the embassy if approved but then what happens about the priority date?

 

i know you need a valid reason and also about the ban.

You need a valid reason or everyone would be doing it and it doesn't get you past the ban

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

What’s the point of expediting the visa if you can’t travel anyway? What would you do if the visa expires before you can come here? Why take up an interview slot when there are people who are eligible to travel who have been waiting for interviews (spouses of USCs, for example)?

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Yip i said i knew that.. i want to know the process for after the ban is lifted

I don't believe i asked how to avoid it.. i wanted to know the process incase i need to ask for it that's all.

Nothing to expedite. You’re in numerically limited category and only when the visa number is available will you be scheduled for interview. Follow visa bulletin on travel.state.gov

I don't plan on it the now but i may need to ask so i wanted to know how it works.
