Citizen of India

GC Interview date - 19Sept06 (San Antonio Office)

On interview date / time visa numbers were not available for my category / country. Interview went smooth. After interview I was told by the officer that I should get GC when Visa numbers become available. Now the dates are current & visa numbers are available, I haven’t received any notification.

My case was initially filed in Nebraska Service Center (with receipt # LIN......)

Since last yr, when ever I check my status on line or phone or operator - only msg I get is "On June 23, 2006, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CHICAGO, IL location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. ..........."

In the meanwhile, I had to move & filed AR11 in March07. But since then I have applied for AP & EAD renewals for wife & I. Already got her AP a week ago & am waiting for mine. Also got acknowledgment + biometrics notice for EAD Renewal. Meaning that addres change should have been noted & working.

I got info pass after persistent.ly trying on USCIS website. I need advice regarding the documents that i need to carry with me to the appointment

Any advice / suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Did you print out your appointment letter showing the confirmation number with the barcode when you made the infopass appt.? It would state there what you need and should not take with you (camera phones).

Special quote on this part on my appt. letter:

"In order to serve you more efficiently, we require you to bring all applicable immigration forms, letters, receipts, translations and originals of supporting documents."

From my experience, they looked at my passport (entrance), scanned my appt. letter barcode, asked what type of application I am following-up, gave me a number stub, then I waited and finally, before I asked my questions, the officer checked my NOAs.

Keep us posted when you're done with your infopass appt., good luck!
