I'd do #1 and I back that up by saying I did the exact same thing by moving to live with my wife while still working for my company in the US.  It's been stress-free living here with my wife and the longer processing time due to COVID hasn't caused any issues for us because we are together.  We really don't care when we get our interview.  When it comes, it comes.  Then we will leave and go to the US.  Until then we are simply living our life.

That said, I'd still live with her for a few months to get to really know her before you marry to be sure you aren't making a decision you will regret.

I would say Number 2 - you can drive to Miami and then Fly one hour to the Bahamas.  That will help with phobia.

@devusr, if you go with option 2 you could also get a cruise out of West Palm Beach, Florida called Bahama Paradise Cruise Lines. You do not have to do roundtrip and could get a hotel package through the cruise line if you so choose.

Yep, I understand. I didn't send the gifts right away (well, I did send some pizza after a couple of weeks of talking to her). It took about 2 months of talking, we talked about everything (the deep things) day and night, I know ALL her ways and quirks. My point is if you spend that amount of time talking and listening to someone, you should be able to figure out if there is a connection and if they love you or not. For some people it takes 2 months, for other people it takes 2 years....we cannot quantify it with a math formula....it is the human aspect and every relationship/people are different.

Like we keep saying...USCIS and the government don't actually care about our love stories. They care that we are able to provide documentation that we have met the legal requirements for being granted permanent resident status, visas or whatever you're applying for. They're not bleeding hearts. They're bureaucrats who also work to detect fraud and scams. Anyone can make romantic gestures etc. It's a whole other thing to prove to a government (not Joe from the office or your new friend Stacy) that your relationship is legitimate and that you should be given permission to enter the USA on a very special status or visa. You're asking them for permission. It's not a right; it's a privilege if they grant it to you.

I also sent "organic" food, that costs around $1200-2000 USD each time

My fiancee is vegan and only eats organic stuff. How the hell did you end up spending $2000 on food?

I don't see why she hasn't visited him, it's not like he couldn't have paid for a flight if fear of flying was the only thing stopping them from meeting.

This whole thing sounds like a series of red flags.

She hasn't visited him because she would need a visa and the chances of obtaining a visitor visa for a poor single woman from Sri Lanka  are slim and none and slim died already.

We might see red flags but if he follows my advice, those red flags are not seen anymore.

I shopped at whole foods and mom's organic. I sent food that is not easily gotten in Sri Lanka like bunch of $6 sardine and sockeye salmon tins (yeah its a seafood island but they don't even have access to real sardines) and 4+ boxes of lake champlain chocolate ($100 per box) etc. I want her to have the best and I can afford it, that's why I sent it.

As a christian and a libertarian, it doesn't make sense why it's a "privilege" and not a human right. If the CO/USCIS interviewed us both, they would understand  but we're reduced to numbers on a chart or some gubermint rubber stamp form. Our rights shouldn't come from a piece of paper or some government puppet, they are god given rights.

God doesn't issue immigration visas.  The US Government does.

You can either comply with US laws and get her an immigration visa like everyone else or point out in the bible where God said it's a right for a woman you have never met to immigrate to the US because you are special as a Christian and libertarian.

Before we do that, we should ask the native Indians for permission. That is a whole another topic, you can just PM me and we can debate. Like I said, our basic rights come from God and not man. Aztecs, Mayans, history, has shown us what happens when rights and "privileges" come from man.

Good luck with your immigration journey.  You can whine all you want.  You can debate all you want.  Until you grow up and do what is necessary under US laws, then she's not immigrating to the US.  Simple as that.  You can debate your God given rights for her to immigrate all you want.  The US immigration system is not going to change for you.

Seemingly not poor. Well not now.

He can simply leave out any mention of support and gifts, when filing the petition.  That information will hurt, not help.  Leave it out.

True, although the way the OP worded the initial post, it sounds like it was mentioned in the prior petition ("even with medical evidence and the financial support I had given (30K+ USD)..."). If that's correct, they'll know whether it's mentioned on the new one or not.

Yeah sure, it sure is easy to hand down judgement from a keyboard. However, I was born in Sri Lanka and lived there for sometime and I know their customs and ways. I know who she is and her ways and ideas. I will do what some of the people here suggested.
