Do they have a valid visa to visit the US?

What would be the purpose of their visit?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

They can certainly try, they can reasonably expect to be quizzed about their asylum claim as US and Canada share information.

I mean, claiming is different from getting.  If they do this, I would expect the visa to be cancelled and they would have severe difficulty re-entering the USA/ getting another visa for a long time, if ever.

What is the purpose of this post?  Are you asking about someone who told you they did this?  Are you asking because you or someone you know has just claimed asylum but now needs/ wants to return to their home country?  Are you trying to use this to extend a tourist visa visit longer than the time given?

no just asking as they are back from canada after withdrawal of asylum claim. and just wondering is their US Visa is still valid? can they visit US or not?

How are they going to support themselves in the USA if they claimed asylum in Canada so clearly have no money or a way to support themselves?

How about they stop country shopping and go back to their own country.

You can’t hop across borders trying to claim asylum everywhere when you are still apparently safe to go home. Don’t be surprised if you are refused entry. Having a valid visa does not mean you will be granted entry.  As noted above the US and Canada cooperate.

Was wondering if anyone can re visit to US after crossing border to Canada and claim asylum and then few days later withdraw the claim and go back to his country due to some reasons.

Hence the confusion, seems like they are fleeing or will flee Canada.

Reasonable danger in home country, but withdrawing the claim and going back to home country?
