Does she have her membership/TSA Pre number? If so you can use it without the physical card. Non-US citizens never get a card.

TSA pre check is different from Global Entry.  She has had pre check for years, just now upgrading her to GE.  The issue is that she hasn't been approved for GE due to (I can only assume) the backlog due to covid.

There is no need for a GE card, the number is tied to your passport, and they use facial recognition or fingerprints (depending on which machine is in use) to verify you upon entry.

Is there anything the government can do to prevent them from moving forward with their plan to furlough since it’s been determined that they actually do have enough money?

They may have money, but how much and for how long?

Many times the decision to furlough is not based on today's finances, but plans way down the road.  For example, United Airlines put out a plan to furlough 36,000 but told their people internally that number would be reduced if people took "early outs".  Same with Delta Airlines,  about 25,000 furloughs potentially, with reductions based on early retirements and/or pay cuts.

I was WAY wrong back in February when I predicted that the US death toll would be no more than 10,000.  But I was spot-on when I said the economic impact from a shutdown would last longer and hurt way more than the China virus itself.

The Senators were telling USCIS that they have enough surplus and does not need to lay off any worker, can still continue to produce green cards/EADs and return to normal activity.

Someone in the upper office is making up things and screwing things around. This is the area that need to be looked at. Anyone got any info?
