COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder and four others were arrested Tuesday in a $60 million federal bribery probe, a person briefed on the investigation confirmed.

U.S. Attorney David DeVillers’ office would not discuss details of the case, which it planned to outline at a briefing later Tuesday.

 

Also arrested were Householder adviser Jeffrey Longstreth, longtime Statehouse lobbyist Neil Clark, former Ohio Republican Party chairman and consultant Matthew Borges and Juan Cespedes, co-founder of The Oxley Group in Columbus, the person told The Associated Press.

They likely just hurt their party in a swing state.. so be it. Hope they get plenty of time behind bars.

Wow. $60 million?  I just can't wrap my head around people taking these kinds of risks with their reputation and freedom, not to mention the damage it does to the perception of government.

When he and his political class didn't get their way in 2016. Duh.

 

It's not like he really is a Marxist, he's just willing to be anything to get rid of the orange man. The political class are known for their policy relativism, especially with their toxic meritocratism is challenged.

The whole enemy of my enemy thing I guess.  I would think a supposedly knowledgeable politician would see through the Leftist smokescreen.

This is where one either adopts Ben Shapiro's "Hanlon's Razor" and presumes he's dumb/ignorant, or that he's smart and is being malicious. 

 

It's extremely obvious here which it is to me. Kasich isn't an idiot. He knows the policies the Democrats push, and that they don't in any way align with his own party or principles he stated he has. Funny enough, the "principled left" are hammering the Democratic Party because Kasich recently bashed homosexuals, among a litany of other things that would typically outrage anyone even considering being with the Democrats -- they're very unhappy he's speaking at the webcam convention.
