I’d rather live with my legal American citizen husband.

Well, what is stopping him from moving to be with you then?

How can he stop approved petitions???

With an EO/PP, as evidenced by recent events.  Effectively halts the next processes in the immigration path.

I will go end my life. It has no point anymore. Since I am never to be with my legal husband. Bureaucracy destroys everything.

What is so bad about Russia that you’d rather end your life than wait a few more months to be with your legal husband??

TIES

To get a Visitor's Visa, you need to demonstrate ties to your country of residence.

To get a Spousal Visa,  you need to demonstrate ties to your spouse.

To get Citizenship, you need to demonstrate ties to your new country of citizenship.

But before all that...you need one very important tie..Ties to your own life. This too is very important.

If you cannot live in one country with your spouse, fight for that ability, and if you lose, consider living elsewhere.

But a Romeo and Juliet type of thinking, and killing oneself, is not healthy, mature, or warranted.

Just my view...

And yes, spousal visa would be one of the last ones of the family visas to be affected, I would think.

Thank you.

im lost. has anything OFFICIAL actually been announced about this immigration merit thing? Because the only proclamation to come out so far, is about illegal aliens and the census

No. And again, Trump has been mentioning moving to a merit-based immigration system since at least 2017.

I am stopping. I want to immigrate.

Then you need to be patient. It’s a long hard path which doesn’t end with an interview (which in its turn is a prize for a long waiting game). There are going to be many pitfalls and if to overreact like this on each of them there’s going to be not much left from your health. Now keeping yourself busy helps a lot, also as it was mentioned before to talk more to a loved one, have some fun together and to read less stuff on the Internet.

Hard to have fun together, when apart for already more, than 7 months.
