the odd's of anything happening with immmigration is 0.000000. so no need to panic over anything. N0 45 will say a lot of thing but does nothing. You will get there.. stay safe

And yes, spousal visa would be one of the last ones of the family visas to be affected, I would think.

im lost. has anything OFFICIAL actually been announced about this immigration merit thing? Because the only proclamation to come out so far, is about illegal aliens and the census

No. And again, Trump has been mentioning moving to a merit-based immigration system since at least 2017.

Then you need to be patient. It’s a long hard path which doesn’t end with an interview (which in its turn is a prize for a long waiting game). There are going to be many pitfalls and if to overreact like this on each of them there’s going to be not much left from your health. Now keeping yourself busy helps a lot, also as it was mentioned before to talk more to a loved one, have some fun together and to read less stuff on the Internet.
