hello to everyone and hope everyone is safe!

My story is:

I had an interview in Jan 30 2020 and was refused under 221g for further administrative processing. I'm not sure what was th reason ( im guessing because my fiance is ex military and I have visited the US three times during our relationship). It had been two months of AP when the embassy shut down because of covid. It's still closed and my medical expires this week. And it's been already year since we filed the petition.

I am so lost, confused and devastated, tired of waiting and of unknown future. Haven't seen husband to be in a year already.

What would you recommend hiring an attorney for a lawsuit or just wait? Is there anyone in the same situation? What are your thoughts on this mess?

Why would you guess this would be the reason for a refusal? If you entered legally?

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

Interesting! I think if you entered legally it would be no issue. I hope you get some answers soon. 💗

How come they (attorneys) claim to " get your cases out of AP" and blah blah?((

Never seen that but If your attorney says that I’d make sure I’d have that in WRITING and add “get out of AP with a positive decision” to that contract as well. You will never find an attorney who would sign that contract with you.

Probably because it results in them getting paid, even if their efforts end up having zero impact. 🤷‍♂️

In my experiences with attorneys, they tend to over-promise and under-deliver, and always collect their fees regardless of the outcome.  They don't do much of the work themselves, but delegate all the paper pushing to secretarial staff or paralegals who are prone to making mistakes, losing paperwork, taking forever to do things, etc.  Just know what you are getting into before spending thousands of dollars with no guarantee that it will help at all.  For immigration, attorneys are normally only a good idea for very complicated cases involving deportation or waivers for criminal activity, etc., and then it's best to do a lot of research and reference checking to find one worth paying.  Just my opinion for what it's worth.  Good luck!

Yes I really have to file the writ of mandamus. I actually posted about it just last night on here. However, a lot of people were suggesting I wait some more instead of filing the writ of mandamus. I don’t know what to do anymore to be honest. It’s very exhausting and frustrating

WE HAD OUR INTERVIEW 1/4/2019 AND the best  thing i did was filing the WOM JiM HACKING IS TH BEST ATTORNEY FOR THIS JOB. YOU WILL GET MOVEMENT FROM YOUR CASE AND YOU WILL KNOW WHERE YOU STAND. IT'S COSTLY THOUGHT...

To clarify, the petition was with USCIS (meaning the visa was already refused) when you filed the WoM, right?

Making sure you did not break laws while in the US is not the reason for AP.
