Is it better to submit online or send it in?
With online submission do you just scan all your supporting evidence and documents?

Online. You get a response right away, don’t pay postage or stress that it “got there”. Yes, you upload the supporting evidence. Plus with USCIS working a Skelton crew I would think it gets worked on faster rather than waiting in a mailbox for a person to pick it up and scan it in.

Awesome thank you!  Are you able to organize the package properly online? I thought presentation of your information was huge.  Packaged nicely with labels and tabs etc??

I’ve only done the N400 online and therewere sections for specific things- and then an additional evidence section where we uploaded things that different have specific Upload box. It’s going to be much more organized online as everyone has their own opinion and definition of what the presentation should look like; which rarely includes what USCIS wants. Some couples actually sent photo albums because they thought it looked nice but as you can guess that was ultimately sent back to the petitioner..

Awesome that’s really good to know! Sounds much easier to do it online. I think that’s the approach we will take. We have been putting this off because we’re intimidated by the process and fear that we will miss something.  We’ve been married 2 years and have been wanting to start the process for a long time 🙈

I understand ; we waited applying for the N400 for about 2 years 😂 A positive online is that you can start and stop the application. I think it deletes if you haven’t touched it in 30 days. So you can always start it and if you get overwhelmed stop and come back in a day to continue working on it.

We also put it off for a while (married for 9 months now) because we thought we didn't need to as we planned on staying in the Philippines for 2-5 years more. But things changed and my USC husband wants to return to the US. We are going to submit the application online as it seems more practical.
