Hello,

I'm filling out i-944 right now and my wifes assets here alone are more than enough for i-864, and we have $1000 in debt from me which isn't much. I also have a checking account that I share with my parent in Canada with a few thousand dollars and a visa with less than $100 on it but I am not comfortable sharing a bank document with the account number. Is a PDF of the balance fine, or do they need a official statement with all the bank information on it for foreign assets?

All of this info seems super invasive but maybe I'm just being weird.

Well I actually don't have to list any of it since their joint accounts. It's just if you want to use foreign assets to help in term of a positive factor it seems.

I was referring to the I-944.  They are strict about submitting it.

That's sounds more appropriate. I guess the address doesn't matter as it's my parents address and it's not in the US.

Sorry I should of clarified, I know it's invasive and you have to submit it. I was more asking about the foreign assets & debts. I see them as more optional for a positive factor.

I'm really not sure why anyone would list and release their debts that are in the UK, or Sweden to the USCIS though.

just to know if the person's debt would make it appear they would become a public charge

to me the foreigner's debt is not the issue  / a more reasonable approach should be for the USC to submit his/her debts and submit a credit report as it is ultimately the USC's financial responsibility

are you saying the assets are required to be listed on the i944 even if income is above 125%?

No, I am saying that completing the I-944 accurately is required.......
